BCS games over... Draft predictions?

Now that all the bowl games are over, what do you think the rankings for the Draft elligible QBs looks like?
Troy Smith didn't really have the height anyways, and getting crushed in his dismal performance against Florida tonight didn't help. Brady Quinn set an insane number of records at ND, but he too got spanked in a bowl game. Oddly enough, both by the same scores of 41-14.
Even though the combines and the draft are a ways off, who do you think will come out on top for QBs? Also, do you think Oakland will use their pick to make a QB #1?
I don't know if JaMarcus Russell from LSU will be the top QB, but he definitely improved his stock against ND. He has more than enough size, but really Notre Dame was quite overrated this season in my opinion so the bowl game wasn't really that much of a test. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow when he announces his intentions. I imagine though with the toppling of Quinn and Smith, he has to like his first round odds.

This just in~
Adrian Peterson has declared for the draft. A lot of experts seem to think that he'll be a top 5 pick, possibly going to the Browns at number 3 or 4 (depends on a coin flip). Reuben Droughns has lost a lot of production and they could use a big time rb. I think with as reckless as he runs and as poor as Cleveland's O-Line is, his career will be relatively short and injury-filled.

I'm a Cal fan and have to saw Lynch is going to be a good NFL back... He reminds me of Stephen Jackson in his Oregon State days. I think Lynch has that type of build that he can bulk up to run over people as well!

Running backs never seem to put up very good numbers in Cleveland. It's about the system and the line, just like you mentioned. A prime example of this is what happened to the Edge when he went from Indy to Arizona.
Droughns didn't look bad at Denver, but Denver is a running back stat factory.
In my opinion, a team that recently seems to have the ability to help a running back's success is the Giants. They don't get a pick until the back side of the draft obviously but I wonder what they will do to climb the list since they are going to be Tiki-less next year... Will they make a move for Peterson?

Michael Bush just declared and Marshawn Lynch declared earlier. There should still be a lot of talent by the time the Giants pick. They got booted out of the playoffs early and had the worst record of any playoff team so they should be drafting around 20th

With Bobby Petrino leaving, chance are that Brian Brohm and Michael Bush will be gone too. I hope that Brohm will stay in because he's now, at best, the 3rd best qb in the draft, and I'd like Louisville to stay up in the rankings next year. However, both Detroit and Oakland could really use a QB so the Brohm could very likely be the best available at his position by the third pick. I think Russell is a much better prospect for the Raiders over the long haul (80 yard arm strength + decent chance Randy Moss will return with Art Shell gone), but they need an immediate band-aid at the qb position and Quinn is more polished and ready to take it to the next level. Russell will be much more prone to the rookie mistakes.

Russell is in position to break a number of records at LSU if he decided to stay. He's well on pace for TDs, yardage, and a few other categories. But... That doesn't seem to matter anymore.
Apparently most of the analysts are showing Quinn over Russell, but a few are admitting that since he is likely a better fit for Oakland (as you mention) he might slide to #1.

Michael Bush should stay if he can get another year of eligibility, since he didn't play all year.
Jamarcus Russell may be a rookie next year, but he's been a starter for I believe teh past 3 years!

I think the Raides won't draft a quarterback at #1. I'm going with Wisconsin Tackle Joe Thomas being the top draft pick.

Definately a lot of good QB's.
Chris Leak, JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Troy Smith, Brian Brohm, Jared Zabransky, etc, etc.
Lots of good talent. IMO Jamarcus Russell should stay at LSU another year to win the BCS championship then go #1. He has high stock right now, but I dunno if he can dark horse over Brady Quinn.
Do yall think Troy Smith will play QB in the NFL? He isn't tall, but he can move and he has a pretty good arm.

If Jamarcus Russell does stay, he should have some pretty big stats. That guy has a huge arm though and a bigger body.
I don't know what the elligible QB class for 2008 looks like (I just don't follow it that close) but I think right now he has an edge on the current group even though there are some high profile names out there.
Quinn may have set some records, but he hasn't pulled off a big game yet. He does have the benefit though of being coached for 2 years by a former offensive coordinator that helped the Pats to their Super Bowls. Hopefully for him, scouts will translate that to some sort of credit.
Troy Smith is gonna have to do the Randel El thing I think. He's gonna have to be a gimmick player and I'd be shocked if he went even high in the 2nd round.

I agree on Smith.
BTW Jamarcus Russell declared himself eligible already.

I agree. JaMarcus will likely be the first QB taken with Quinn in 2nd. Quinn was the golden boy up until the end of the season and the total domination by LSU didn't help (well, not Quinn anyways).

I don't know about you but I am kinda glad the bowls are over. There were a lot of good ones but i perfer the regular schedules alot more because of all the Fighting over the BCS. I think it will be the biggest draft for QB'S because of all the good QB's coming out. I think that Troy Smith stock went down alot because of how bad they good beat by Florida. He will go in the top 15. Brady Quinn's stock dropped after the Michigan, USC, and LSU games. You can't lose big games like that in the NFL. So he is going to be a late draft pick. If JaMarcus Russell decides to go to the NFL. I think he will be the first QB taken in the draft. Another QB to keep your eyes on is Louisville QB Brian Brohm. In his career he threw for 6,751 in 3 years.

I agree, Quinn will be hurt by not being able to play and finish a big game. Troy Smith got destroyed in the BCS championship. Michigan and Ohio getting owned ended the whole talk about how Michigan and Ohio should have met in the BCS championship...
