I've have used many types of anti-virus including Norton, PC-Cilin and others. But now I stick to Avast. Personally I like this anti-virus as it manage to track down and clean some undetectable virus in my PC. It also keep updating it's virus database frequently almost everyday.

Bitdefender is a very good anti-virus software available. It lets have total control on the applications trying to acess the internet and the data trying to come in.But its a bit complicated to use.
Even McAfee is a good anti-virus software. It is very user friendly.

I see a number of people have responded with the product I have used for years. Grisoft AVG Anti-virus. Everyone needs to take notice. Grisoft says the product will no longer be available after Jan. 18, 2007. What they really mean is,it will not work after that date.
I have done extensive testing in my work with computer systems, networks, etc. and I have not found any product by any company that worked better than the AVG Free product. I have even had systems that Norton said were clean, but the AVG found the virus.
I hate to pay for a product, but I may well go with this new AVG version at 29.95 USD because of my experience with their other product.
