No I don't. Why 2? I think people will be happy with even 1 but they have the second one because they fear what if something happen to the only child then they will have no children. Or may be so their child has company. Well if someone has 2 children it may be norm but it has to be 1 boy 1 girl to call it a perfect family. At least that's what I see.

I have a boy and a girl. My mom also had a boy and a girl. My grandparents on each side had 7 kids. Big families are nice too. My husband has 1 real sister, 2 half brothers, 1 half sister, 1 step brother and 1 step sister and he enjoys his family. Each family has different dynamics that make it work.

of course.I 2 kid norm is in best interests for a family. No child feels lonely when he is out of his friend circle and more than 2 can make things worse. 3 is still acceptable but not more than that.

We have 2 kids. We haven't totally ruled out a third child yet. But right now it works for us. We have a car and it only fits two in the back seat comfortably once you add the two booster seats. We have 3 bedrooms, each kid has their own room. 2 works for us but I'm not saying we won't ever have another child. I think if you want more than 2 and you have the means of supporting them money wise and can be there for each child, then have as many you would like. I don't think that 2 is the perfect number for everyone.
