what is the real difference between these two? is it worth shifting and upgrading to the newbie vista? I'm not sure I even have a computer, that's powerful enough to handle this new version of windows..

Don't think it's really recommended to jump to a new Operating System right after it has been launched. It will have bugs in it, it will have security problems and so on. Yes it is better than XP at the moment, but wait some months before the price won't be so high and there are some patches for it. I bet that in the first few weeks if not months there will be a virus especially designed for Vista. And if you want security get Linux :))

If you get the Windows, please tell me how it is ... I'm really interested. Maybe ... if I get a new computer *dreams at a nuclear power plant* I'll install it on it, because this is too slow for it. But before I do that, I need to have some positive feedback about it.

proabbly around £100 - £150 for upgrade as there are various versions of the new vista all ranging in price.
But if you ask me apart from looking nicer there dosent seem to be any real improvements. Theres little bits here and there but nothing that would make me want to change yet....
Plus on release it will probably be full of security issues, xp is pretty secure now after all these years.
HAPPY MYLOT DAY
