When I was a teenager I did not really care for the news. I rather spend time with my friends. I think these days teenagers are more interested in playing their video games and hangging out with their friends. But I am sure there are a selected few that do keep track of the news and know what is going on.

I watch news because either me or my friends are always on it.

If you are an American politician, you would answer that teenagers do not care about current events. They are hardly a force of voting power. If every 18-21 year old voted, this world would be a lot different. Also, teenagers are just learning their abilities of free thought and critical thinking. They have little experience for thinking on their own, especially high schoolers. Good question though.
