I know Search Engines are great, but it's almost impossible to get high enough ranking for that to have much impact for most websites so what have you found that works?

Thanks for your response.
Well, Free is certainly the right price. However, your link seems to offer a lot of programs that pay you pennies for reading emails and such, but I didn't see programs that appeared to be designed for getting traffic to my site. Are you sure you gave the right link?

I have a few businesses and building traffic is a must. One rule of thumb is try to promote your site in some form everyday. Exchanging links will help you with the search engines. Join a few free link exchange directories. They will bring you free traffic as people visit your site to determine if they want to exchange. Also start thinking like a seller rather than a buyer. Meaning rather than joining different programs see if there is away for you to acquire the program or script and run it yourself. I also have developed a few scripts to give away. Giving away your own product could really bring in residual traffic.
