i started forabout 2 months. obviously, my ranking is not as hign as to those of you who is at my same age here at mylot. ive been taking it slowly. learning constantly from mylot member's strategy. i've started answering the yes or no type or the this or that type of discussion. but as i age i realizrd that it wouldnt count. then i started answering a liner from discussions. i thought this may be tagged as quality response. few weeks ago before the issuance of new policy regarding cutting and pasting i've done that. to be honest it helped my earnings. but the pastweek ilearned that it is such a cheat and it would not helpme. now ive been responding with more effort.making my brain run. my rating is not as high as before per day i can only make atleast 20 responses and almost zero discussions but so what?! I HAVE MATURED NOW AS A MYLOT USER.

Its how good your responses are. If its meaningful or does it make no sense. If the post or topic is thoughtful and well put down. Several things make that up.

that good for you to own up to your mistakes. for one when i first started i used to do that, jsut post yes or no, and give short answers. but i never copy and paste nobody though. That great to hear and people make mistakes. it take alot for people to fess up! keep it up! we will all get there and be one tight community.

That's good to hear. I would just say do what you can and whatever effort you put into it is okay. It shouldn't matter how fast or slow you can type. It's how you respond to them and how you can relate and so forth. I always look at this site as a way of learning new things and helping out others. It's not a race. Like some people would see it and always want to be on top. What's so good about being on top when all you really doing is trying to make an effort here for yourself? It's a competition out there but not for me. I'm here to do what I can and help out others as much as I can possibly can. Maturing is a good thing and it's nice to know that you're getting there or are there. You'll be okay. I was somewhat like you too but I always make sure it was a sentence and not just yes or no. It's a discussion not a question with one word of answer. Remember that and you'll be fine. Make it interesting and fun. =)

Well, congratulations. That is exactly what MyLot users are aiming for. Less of the one word and one liner responses. I am very slow and inaccurate at typing, and I can never think of a good topic for discussion, so I have decided that for the time being I will jusr respond to topics. I find it just as enjoyable. Don't worry about your rating not being as high as before, as I doubt you would have been getting paid for your yes, or no answers. You will get paid more for quality discussions and responses.

I think most of us are growing with mylot, also mylot are trying to make more improvements and innovations to promote the quality of discussions here.
I regard mylot not only as a place for me to earn some money, but also a place for me to practise my English, make friends, and discuss some topics I am intersted in!
I am always working hard to read and post, and I have learned much here!
Wish you have a good time in Mylot!

good for you. i had committed the same mistake of making nonsense discussions before like "what's your favorite subject", stuff like that. just like you, i learned its not helping mylot and me in terms of earnings. it's the quality that matters more than quantity..

That's great to hear. We need a lot more people to follow your decision. Mylot will become even better than it is now if everyone can just get on board and start posting quality discussions and reporting those that are not.
Thanks for maturing, and I'm looking forward to your future posts.

mylots is new to all of us. It takes awhile to catch on to how it works and how to make quality discussions and how to rate answers. We all are learning as we go. And I personally am enjoying the journey!

yeah. in fact i am not that interested now on how much my earning would become after doing this and doing that i am more interested on checking who did respond on the discussion that I created.maybe its because, the money would just be there ill just leave the calculations tomylot. all i have to do is to enjoy here anyways i know that earnings would pile up as i enjoy

Funny you said that. I too was replying to poll questions when I first joined mylot. But as we go along we learn from others, we learn from our mistakes and yeah, I agree that we become mature as we go along mylot. I too, I might say, have matured in a way that I don't respond with just a one liner and noticed that quality posts earns more.
