I used the Paul McKenna hypnosis cd "I can make you thin". It really worked and I lost loads of weight, but unfortunately I did not listen to it everyday so I lost the incentive.
They do work if you want them to work. You have to be open minded and just relax and take in the info believing it will make a difference. When I have had this approach I do feel better for using them, especially relaxation techniques or motivation.
I would recommend you trying one, maybe download one so you can try it before buying.
Good luck.

Self-hypnosis using an audio tape or CD is something I found beneficial but to not be a miracle cure for anything. Using the CD will let you learn how to super relax yourself which can be of help to control weight, quit smoking, or learn to concentrate better. Just remember it helps, but is not a cure all or a magic bullet. $30 sounds high, try shopping around.

I've heard of those, but I thought it's just one of those scams and didn't think of it much more. If you ever decide to purchase them, let me know how it works out for you.

Oh wow! $30 for a cd? I saw a hypnotist show at our local fair and he was selling his cd's for $10. I would look around to see if you can find a better deal!
I have found that the CD's are very helpful. I bought the sleep one. It helps you to relax and I feel so much more refreshed in the mornings when I fall asleep listening to it. I guess it depends on what you want to "cure" with hypnosis too, but I have had a lot of success with having a much better quality of sleep.
