Fingernail Growth

I hope someone can give me some good tips. My fingernails reach a pretty length and immediately begin to break. I've never had the acrylic nails and like the way mine look natural, but they just don't last long. I end up having to file them way down and start over again. Does anyone else have this problem and what do you do to stop this?

I'm jinxed with nails! I've always wanted pretty nails and hands but it seems impossible. I can keep polish or strengthing stuff on them for weeks on end and they still snap and break. I think I'm just too active and doing too many different things to really have awesome nails. I still want them though!
