I have seen how stress affects the health. It has turned my husband into an old man. He is depressed and has had a heart attack. He is a shell of the person I used to know, and I can't make it stop. Does stress have a hold on you? If it does, be careful, it will shave years off your life.

Stress is a big thing with me.
i try not to stress about things cause I know how much better I feel when I don't.
I know that stress can cause so many illnesses because it weakens your system to not be able to fight things.
I am trying really hard though not to stress myself out and much and just enjoy.

I totally agree that stress can affect your health. We've been going through a lot in the last couple months with my 16 yo daughter. She had a cancerous tumor removed in November and it has been nothing but stress since that day. I try my best to relax and not let things get me down, but it is very hard. Especially when you are the one trying to hold it together for everyone else.
I keep having to remind myself that I have to take care of myself because she needs me. If I'm not here, where will that leave her? So I do my best to make sure I talk about my feelings and not hold things inside too much...

I agree that stress is very bad for you. Not only does it age your body too quickly, it takes a toll on your personal life and mental condition as well. Who wants to be around someone who is always in a bad moo, tired, and has a negative outlook?

Stress can effect every aspect of a person's being.
Chemical breakdowns in the body and mind can really do some serious damage.

i am constently stressing over finacial worries. I don't know how to stop it, my boyfriend is consistantly telling me to relax and not to worry about it that everything will be okay. But i am the type of person if I pay a bill late, it reflects back on me, and it does because that goes againist your credit. I don't know how to stop worrying about that.

I suffer from stress terribly, anxiety too. I'm stuck at home looking after a disabled mother 24/7. I get no days off, no holidays & have very little income. So I have to just grin & bear it.
But some days it makes me feel sick to the stomach, & coping really is a struggle. I just try n blank it out & get on with it as I have no choice. But I find music can be a great help, so try to lose myself in that as much as possible.

Sorry to hear your husband is going through that. I try not to get stress out alot and I try to find things that make me happy, so that I can get away from stress.

Stress is a very interesting Phenomenon.
Actually Stress is very important for every one to have, unless one has some amount of Stress, the performance of the person can not be enhanced, the issue is when Stress turns in to Distress..that is when it starts causing problems.
So Stress is ideally better to bring the best out of the person, but it causes problems when it starts turning into DISTRESS.......after crossing a certain limit....so then u need to think about the Methods of HOW TO DE-STRESS.
