what is your favorite part of Pursuit of Happyness? I absolutely LOVED the whole movie, but one part that really stands out as hilarious is when Chris jumped out of the cab and the driver chased him down to the subway, and the whole time Chris is yelling "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

My favorite part was at the end when he hugged his child, knowing that he had finally succeeded. That hug was deserved recognition to his son because he knew his son suffered along the way as much as he had.
They both achieved the success together. Too bad the wife wasn't so willing to stand by her husband through the worst of times.
Great movie!

I loved the part where he walked down the street, just clapping his hands and smiling.
Savoring in his success.

Did a anyone notice that at the very end of the movie after he gets the job and he and his son are walking hand in hand, the real Chris (tall, black gentleman in a suit) walks by and Will (in character) looks at him. Only reason I know this is because the real Chris and his son who is now in his late 20s or early 30s appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show.

My favorite part is in the subway station when he pretends his medical device is a time machine. I can't even imagine what it must have taken for him to put on a smile and play make believe at a time like that. And I had a tear in my eye when he held his son in the bathroom trying not to let anyone in. WOW - I love this movie!
And no, I had no idea that was the real Chris, that's awesome, now I want to see the end again. Not that I don't plan on seeing it again anyway, but even moreso for that.

I have two favorite parts:
1. The bathroom scene had to be one of the most emotional of them all as he and his son had to spend the night in that public restroom. it was a favorite of mine because it displayed the hurt Chris feeling at the time. You could even read his mind, "How did I get my family in this position?"
2. The end when he received the job at the brokerage firm. You could see it in his eyes the beginning of a new life and the end of a struggle.
I have the book but haven't had a chance to read it yet because I have so many other books I'm trying to complete first, but once I'm done, that book will be a priority.

I can't forget Chris Garder's (Will Smith) face when he heard that passed the internship and he'll start working for the company the next day. He remained his composure and professionalism but the tears of tremendous joy are very much obvious in his eyes. It inspired me to really go back to college this semester and work my hardest in order to succeed no matter how hard life may be.

My favorite part was when he went to the job interview in those clothes with paint all over him after spending the night in jail. I don't want to give it away for others who may not have seen it yet, but great line about the pants!!

I had tears running down my cheeks near the ending of the movie when Chris was called in by the executives to tell him that he was the chosen one to continue on with the company. He was speechless and you could see the joy and triumph in his eyes. He couldn't do anything else but clap his hands together and whisper a prayer of thanks above. And when he got lost in the crowd of people, it was like saying, he'd found himself in this crazy world...his own place, his self-worth and no one will dare look down on him anymore. Powerful and inspiring!!!

By far, the best, most well directed, and most emotional scene was when Chris and his son slept in the train station bathroom. Not a word was said, but you could feel every thing he must have been feeling every time the door knocked. Absolutely incredible.
