What do you usually do on your birthday?

Do you go out with friends, hold a party, or just spend it quietly?
It's my birthday today. I didn't plan anything at all. It seems I've reached the point when it's not that special anymore like when you were a kid. Just said my prayer of thanks in church and paid for my real estate tax. I've made it a point to pay my RE tax on this date each year so I don't forget. However my daughter and her family surprised me tonight by coming over, bringing food for dinner. Turned out nice and made me happy, though they could not stay very late because the kids have school in the morning.

I don't do anything special in my birthday, particulary if it falls on a weekday. On the Saturday following my birthday, my husband and some other family usually go for a quiet meal. I also get breakfast in bed. Congratulations on your birthday, hope you have a great one.

First of all I wish you a happy b'day dear!
I usually get sweets to family members and friends on my birthday.
But on some birthdays i feel moody so that I'll not do anything special for that day, other than the usual things like the usual days.
Have a enjoyable day, and I appreciate you for the tax remittance without forgetting!!

I can't find the right words to say thank you to all those who responded to my topic which really completed my special day. I did not expect to get so many responses and you all have warmed my heart.
Most say 'it's nothing special' but I know deep in our hearts we know birthdays are SPECIAL because it's a celebration of life and it's the very day we should recollect the years, good and bad, and try to make the most of our remaining years. Let's all have a happy birthday in 2007 and onwards. Again thank you all for your good wishes.

First thing i do is get up early in the morning, and go for a prayer in the temple. And party in the evening.

My birthday is very special day for me. I get up early in the morning and go for a prayer in the temple and thank God for giving me everything and I also expect my parents and best friends give me best wishes on my birthday. I enjoy my birthday with my family and best friends.

Happy Birthday, my friend! hope that you've enjoyed your dinner tonight with your daughter and her family. as for me, i usually dont do anything much on my birthday...LOL as i used to when i was in my early 20s....i'm kinda sensitive about reaching the big '30' so i've been keeping a low profile

We go to the Ice Cream Festival in May during my Birthday weekend. They have a flea market, contests for the kids with face painting and exhibits and the Ye Olde Mill is open and running. They have a restaurant and even sugarless ice cream that my Momma can have since we pick her to up spend the day with the 4 of us for my Birthday. We enjoy it and normally the weather is pretty nice. It also starts out the summer for me. Since then I must get most of the garden planted for the year!!

I have a group of friends and we always celebrate each others birthdays by getting together, going out for dinner, and we all chip in on a gift for the birthday girl. We may or may not go out dancing or partying, but more often than not we try to go out a few times a year to have fun and get silly!
Happy Birthday to you Emilie! Birthdays are always special, I don't care how old you are! :)

Well hope you had a Happy Birthday. My husband, kids, family and friend's, we get together and meet at a resturant to celebrate. Everyone bring's the gift's and also pitch in to pay the bill.

I dont do more things than be happy and thanks Him for His great blessings. I am not used of planning what to do on my birthday. I know its special for me, but sometimes I look at it as special if i have no worries as to planning for it.

Im a bit younger probably but i usually like to spend it at home with a few friends maybe a few drinks, go out perhaps but its no biggie. I would wrather stay at home and no when i go to bed it will be in my bed and not a bed of a jail.. Maybe thats because i know i will drink a bit on my b-day?

hello and happy birthday! mine was on the 9th :)
i didn`t do anything special either. stayed home, had a tea with the boyfriend and relaxed.
however the weekend before, i went out with family and ate sooooo much!!!
they knew my favorite meal is ... dessert, so they brought me to a restaurant that had a dessert-bar. basically the food you order comes with a salad and dessert bar, and it`s all you can eat...so needless to say, i sampled about 7 of the 10 or so cakes they had on display ;)

We usually just go out to eat with our family and maybe a couple of friends, and give a couple of gifts. If it's a "major" birthday, like 16, 21, 30, 40, etc. then we will usually throw that person a party. My daughter's 16th birthday will be here next January, and of course, we'll have a party for her and her friends. Otherwise, it's usually just a quiet dinner.

birtday is to have a blast......its party time...get up early...keep answering ur dear ones calls......then start for a party along with frnds during the day time....and host a party along with family members in the evening......u will have no time to sleep........this also gives u lot of happines.........
