Ohh yes .. my disabilities make it practically impossible to go to a cinema these days .. and on a limited income I simply cannot afford to go to a cinema.
But then why would I want to .. we can get all the latest movies on DVD to watch at home .. even have them sent to us by joining a DVD rental scheme .. once we have the DVD we can watch it when we like at a time convenient to us .. and have the comfort of our own homes ..
I like to get a few 'refreshments' ready before I start watching .. then when I pause the movie (and you can't do that in a cinema) to take a comfort break I can bring in my refreshments ready for restarting the movie ..
So Mr Cinema Bosses, just tell me why I should go out in the cold to an uncomfortable and often noisy (folks, chatting and laughing) cinema, when I can stay at home in comfort, take my comfort breaks with ease, have all the refreshments I want and for around a tenth of the price of coming to your cinema ...

I am like you, I don't go out to the movies any more. For the same reasons, cheaper and you can't wear your PJ's to the theater without getting a few odd looks. I love movies at home the best!

DVDs are much cheaper, or just download to your computers, but for me, after watching movies in the theater with my friends, I just love that feeling and the environment, it's more movies, you know, just when I watch DVDs, I can not really get into the movies

I prefer to wait until they come out on dvd and then watch them at home. Our nearest cinema is in Dublin which is thirty miles away and I never like coming out and facing the long journey home especially in winter. I find it is much more comfortable to watch them at home, as I can control the sound and I don't have to listen to people munching popcorn and rattling sweet bags.

I do not like going to the movies. I hadn't been for ages and then decided to see Lord Of The Rings 3 because I thought it would be spectacular on the big screen.
I had a woman sitting next to me who would not keep still and the most annoying boy along from me who kept sniffing throughout the whole film.
It didn't annoy my partner or son, but I cannot stand having to sit near people who make a noise.
I prefer putting a film on my laptop, earphones on and being left alone. Or watching a film with my family with the lights off and the sound really loud.
Also it costs an absolute fortune now to go.

If there is a new movie that I cannot wait to see or even if we feel like getting out of the house for a while.. We will go to a theatre! Otherwise, we tend to rent movies a large majority of the time.
Another reason I prefer watching movies at home is because it's not only cheaper, but.. It's much more comfortable & if I have to run to use the washroom.. I can pause the movie while doing so! I find that to be one of the most convenient things to be quite honest.. Because at a theatre if you get up to go to the washroom then you end up missing half of the movie.. And then coming back & having to ask what you had missed to the person you had gone to the movie with.. And then by doing that you miss even more of the movie.. It can be quite frustrating in my humble opinion! . .
I also am not a big fan of going to the theatre anymore because I find people to be so rude each & every time I go. There's either someone playing around on there cell phone, or someone giggling close by you so it's difficult to hear the movie.. Or someone starts kicking the back of your seat even.. It's not very enjoyable I find to go anymore.. I always end up regretting it if we do decide on going.. As well I find the prices on the snacks they sell to be outrageous! I like that at home I can make my own good cooked meal, & watch the movie while eating my dinner.. Without any additional cost/charge!
As it stands for right now at this moment in time.. I'd much rather stay at home & rent a movie, or watch a movie from the collection that I already own!

Much cheaper, definitely, I actually went out last night with a friend to see Night At The Museum, fantastic film, would definitely recommend it. But for the privelidge of seeing the film it cost me £12.50, I know it was London, Leicester Square but that to me is a rip off! But if its a film I really really want to see then I will especially go to the cinema to see it. Films like Titanic you have to see the big picture. It is more comfortable at home, I admit and you don't get those annoying people in front of you, munching crisps, fidgeting and mobile phones going off! grrrrr.....

I go to the movies maybe 2 times a year. It is so costly. $9.50 each. And the popcorn with a drink is outrageous. Then you sit next to someone that is noisy, kids talking, and someone too tall in front of you to see. So, I prefer to sit with my hubby in our home and watch a dvd on our large screen tv.

The last movie I went to see was The Passion, I wanted to see it in the movie theater. I have since bought it.We belong to Netflix, and we buy movies we like especially when they are on sale. It is so much more comfortable to watch and enjoy them at home.

I enjoy going out to the movie theater. I think it is fun but nowadays it is very expensive. So me and family usually go to matinee's when it's a few bucks cheaper. I like to watch DVD"S at home also but it's more fun to go to the Theater especially for my son.

I used to go to the theatres every week, now I hardly ever do it .. yes it's cheaper and more comfortable to watch movies at home, also TV and internet makes you more and more lazy and don't feel like going out when everything you want is at your fingertips :)

Once in a while, when there's something coming out that I REALLY want to see badly, I will make myself go to the movies, but generally, I prefer to wait until they come out on video and just run down to Walmart at midnight on the day they come out and buy them. That way I can take them home and watch them at my leisure. I definately prefer to watch them at home. No bra, no shoes, in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, kicked back in my recliner with my kitchen just a couple of steps away.

I still like going to the movies. I love the popcorn and the atmosphere of the big screen. I have alot of movies I want to catch up on. I have been working so much and I havent been in awhile but I love to go.
