how do you make money online?

I was wandering if anyone knows other ways to make money online? I have already been scammed once and i will not spend any money to make money. I figure if someone or some company wants to pay me to do something then i should not need to put any money into it. I have found some things on the net to make money , though it takes a little time to build it up. I am not sure if they pay out yet , but we will see. I have never been scammed because I've done my research. Personally I wouldn't give my money until I know for sure it is not a scam. How would you know this?

I know of several companies besides myLot that do pay. You won't make it rich, but it is extra income.
