has this ever happened to you?

Oh Chiquita i am glad that you asked this question as i too would love some ideas... it was only last night that i was looking for something and realised that the closet was full of surprises. Things i forgot i even owned lol... my hubby just looked and shook his head..the rest of my house is pretty much in order. But yes the closet is another story...i really need help... hubby finally found his expensive screw driver thingy...i have no idea how it got there :P

Yes, you put things in there, then you put things on top, then you forget what is there. Its a place to store things and you keep the door shut. Out of sight, out of mind. I moved about a year ago. It was like treasure hunting when I cleaned out my closet, I was amazed by what I found in there. I had forgotten about half the stuff in there. It was fun seeing things that I hadn't seen in years.

I have a huge problem with clutter. I wish it was all only in the closets but it is everywhere. I have a problem with throwing stuff away and I tend to keep things that might be of use sometime in the future. As far as the closet getting clutered I think that falls into the out of sight out of mind category. Maybe inadvertently when you aren't sure where to put something you put it in the closet to deal with at a later time. I know I do that all the time and then find things that I completely forgot about. I am working on dealing with my clutter issues. Good luck to you.
