The End of the World....2029

Have you guys heard about this? I was on some news channel on the internet and they're saying that some scientist are predicting the end of the world April 13th, 2029. They are saying that an astroid is coming near the earth April 13, 2029.
I hardley believe that that is going to occure?
Do you believe something like this to happen?

Hah. I hope it's sooner! Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if we see us getting closer to the end in our lifetimes. Not necessarily from an asteroid, but from some other natural disaster or just environmental deterioration.

Yeah, look at "El Nino" - they are trying to say that is the reaon we have 60+ degree temp here in December and January... If we're destroying our environment, why wait for an asteroid?

I haven't hear that, but I do remember all the Y2K hype. Not just for computers, but a lot of religious fanatics said that the world would end on on the 20th century. Well, what they forgot to take into account was that different cultures have different calendars. What Chineese year are we on?
And look at it this way - meteriologist cannot predit the weather any better than me (peeking out my window in the morning). They say it'll snow - it's 70 degrees out for crying out loud.
Bottom line, I'll believe it when I see it. I plan to just live my life like normal (enjoying it!) until then.

Only time will tell! I think in the next 22 years there will be a way to blow it up or atleast deter its course! Plus, isn't the world supposed to end by then by some natural disaster or nuclear winter?!?
