There's a topic thief in our midst right now, and I want her banned

All you have to do is hit the! button and report the person, I have done it and that is the best thing you can do for now I have had it happen to me and I got pissed becasue they got 72 responses and I only got 21 for the same discussion........

Just for the heck of it, I checked the new topics pages and found nothing. If someone is annoying you, report them to myLot. As for silly unintersting questions, to each his own. We all have different thoughts and it is and has always been a possibility that someone will post the same topic as you. I have seen the same question posted over and over ever since I joined. The more new people who join the more you will see repeated questions. Most just don't know that the question was already asked. This isn't a contest to see who can get the most answers to their topic. No doubt what interests me, may not interest you so all topics are valid unless they are against the myLot guidelines. This is an open form, so if you don't like the question move on. If they have copied and pasted your thread word for word report it. But as for me, I am getting pretty tired of these repated threads about people trying to ban other community members.

Not one but there are many and I can even pinpoint one of them as roadromeo. I just hate him or her whatever may be the case . A real cheatercock. We start discussions on our problems and he copies them and makes them sound funny. I wanted him banned.

can you please explain to me what a topic thief is? No, I am not being sarcstic. I am still fairly new here and have read a lot of comments by people complaining about what others post, one word answers, copy/paste, etc and I really don't understand. Are you saying it is wrong to start a new discussion on a topic if someone has already posted on that topic? I mean, can only one person post on the topic, for example, "Dogs" or are you referring to the people who type a response and then post it on every new discussion they come across? Sorry to be so dense, but I can't find the new topics. I did find a new discussions page, but couldn't figure out who you were referring to. I really would like to understand this whole issue so that I don't make the same mistakes that are getting so many people so riled up. Thanks for listening.

The only thing we can do is report it and let Mylot deal with it. She will probably get a warning first maybe and then if she doesn't heed their advice she might be booted off Mylot. But then what stops this person from just joining under another name? Then another. Hopefully this person will take the advice and stop spamming and copying and pasting others topics.

I'm headed to the new topics page now! I'll start reporting the person to MyLot also. The way MyLot has been cleaning up, she'll be gone before you know it.

You will do a lot of help by reporting the person after giving him negative ratting. It is not easy goint through the new discussion page. The pages come randomly and sometimes, you miss the member ya searching for. You are free to give his name so we can all check.

Well I'm in the dark...won't be the last time I'm sure. I know and see it happen all the time. But I can't figure out who you are all talking about. I am very tired, having been on here all night, doing much more reading than writing. My eyes keep crossing, so I tried looking but couldn't figure it out. I think other people have posted names but maybe it shouldn't be.. I don't know but curiosity is killing me.. good night my mylot friends.

hi,thats true.its common problem to most of our memebers.some how mylot has to filter the copying.in payposter,if we post copy topic,they will deduct points immediately from our earnings.

I haven't seen that who ever it is,If your so worried about it report it. I'm sure they are not hurting anyody, this is only for a coulpe dollars, so what is the problem.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of different type of people who come here and post on myLot, and sometimes they come here to steal and cheat others out of things they do not deserve. I had at least one of my discussions taken one time, and the main issue was it was one of my higher answered ones as well. Someone else noticed it and reported it, and the topic of theirs was removed. I know when I see posts that are duplicated, etc. I repost them with the "!" Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not, but I feel better knowing that I did this.

I honestly think that maybe the person you are speaking of, should be reported only if her topics are copied and pasted...not if she has something similiar to someone else, KWIM

very curious to know who it is. I do get annoyed when i see the same topic repeated i hope mylot takes care of this
