Problem: I eat a LOT and Not getting FAT !

Hello everyone.
When I was in 8th grade I started to eat a lot. It began with 7-8 sandwiches that I used to bring to school and there was also a meal at school.
After I got home I ate more and some snacks from time to time.
Now, the problem is I can eat what I want but not to getting fat. I know when you read it now, you think i'm crazy because who wants to get fat? Well, I don't.
I just want to stop being hungry all the time.
Now, i'm almost 18 and in a 12th grade, my final year.
The problem hasn't been solved yet.
Does anyone have or had that problem? It drives me crazy being hungry all the time, (even now).
Even my friends call me: "Ilan, the man and the sandwich". I enjoy it :)
I want to get some fat, because next year i'm recruiting to the army of Israel, and I want to work on my body. I can't do it without getting some fat.
Any suggestions?

You should try going to the gym, that way you can build muscles and gain weight but still not get fat. usually people that can eat anything withiout gaining weight will gain later in life. I have a friend who wanted to gain weight, she started eating healthy and going to the gym. now she has the body that she before tried eating her way to and she is as healthy as anyone!

I also tin. My height 163 cm and my weight only 45kg
Many people sugest me to:
1. Follow Gym. After U tired of sport, U will eat a lot
2. Eat a lot of fat before sleep. Like pizza, milk, chocolate
3. drink fat milk. There is fat milk in my country. BUt the pize soo expensive
4. Eat at least 4 times aday.
But I failed. T___T some poeple said I already have tin blood. So its imposible for me to become a litle fat^^ maybe U also like that

may be u r sleeping late....any tensions?? any worries...keep smiling and with thet diet u written above...u will gain weight..
living happy and kick off ur worries out from ur life...is the best way to be healthy

I think it's typical for adolescent and teenage boys to be hungry all the time and eat like pigs. I have 4 young boys, and believe me when I tell you that they eat 3 times as much as I do, and they also never get fat. Your body is still growing and developing, and requires a lot of nutrients and nourishment to grow properly. I wouldn't worry about it...in a few years you will be wishing that you could still eat whatever you want without getting fat!

WELL. i think that is how your hormones are made to keep you in that shape.
when i was in junior high school, i eat about four times a day and my parents complained a lot, they have a child who eats the best and much food but doesn't grow fat. some say maybe it's the studies and the sports that i do keep me slim.
NOW i've graduated from the university and working, eating and sleeping but still slim though i'm athletically built.

my problem is similar to that..i eat a lot ang im gaining wight!!! my advise to you? nothing can beat a healthy lifestyle (whow as if i am doin that same thing) just take a good care of your self. stay as happy as ever and never worry about gaining some pounds. it would instantly come out dont pressure yourself ..just learn to develop a positive self image take care pal!!!

Have you thought about going to the doctor to make sure there is no medical condition that is causing you to be so hungry? There could be and there may not be. It would be nice to rule that possibility out! Then you know your just a hungry guy. This could change as you get older. It changed for my brother at about 30. He isn't a porker or anything but he does have meat on his bones and does now watches what he eats so he doesn't gain more weight.
You sound like you have much more of a hungar problem then my brother though so consider going to a doctor and getting checked out. Tape Worms are known to be extremly hard on ones body. That is just one thing that comes to mind. Probably not it. But again get checked out!

Yeah that's the same problem I've had, I have a slim slender body type and I really want to fatten up a little.. I suggest you try the chinese medicine ling zhi..it's safe and herbal although you might add pounds on your belly.

you do one thing ,just stop working and sleep 10 to 11 hours a day u will gain weight in 3-4 months only when u have gained ample weight convert it into muscles at gym ....so simple.....................

It is most likely of your age, you maybe hyper active but since you may be hooked to your computer it is something else. My advise is for you to try fasting little by little, otherwise you will find your time in training camp really hard.

No,after me you have to eat how much your metabolism ask you.
I eat all i want also and i am not fat at all because i love to run.
so....please,keep eating how much you want..lol!!
and if you want work with your body your body will need also a lot protein and ...stay calm,in time you will eat not so much..

It sounds to me as though you have an over active thyroid gland this can increase metabolism and I think it makes you hungry, but it certainly means you have difficult putting weight on. You should go to your doctor. I have an underactive thyroid which makes me tired and drained. I also put weight on easily. They are opposites of each other. So the over active would make you more energetic.

Your metabolism is probably in overdrive. Check with your doctor and have him do a blood screen to see if your thyroid is imbalanced. It could be something really simple like adjusting the amount of sugar you are consuming. Put it ike this, if you are still going into the military, you will want this taken care of before you go. I doubt they will allow you to carry around snacks and sammies (sandiwches) with you :]

LoL that's funny. Every one who knows me are afraid because of it. They can't imagin me in the army, and being hungry all the time. I know that in the army we have organize meals, three times a day, which is great, but i'm still afraid that i'll be hungry from time to time.

You know how many of us chubby checkers you can make jealous with your post? Man you're lucky LOL! You're 18 though and still have time to grow physically - I understand men can continue to grow till they are 21 or 22 even. I mean height-wise of course. You must have a high metabolism which many of us would kill for LOL! I have friends who stuffed their faces throughout their teens and 20s and the weight crept up on them in their 30s and now they really regret it as they don't eat as much now as they did when they were younger. Then again I have a couple of friends in their mid and late 30s who still have their size 8 figures even after eating way too much for way too long!
I can't offer any suggestions apart from if it REALLY worries you seek your doctor's advice. Seriously - you can get lots of good advice here on myLot but at the end of the end the doctor is the one who is really qualified to give this sort of advice.

Don't force to get too fat. It's kind of ironic. While some are trying hard to lost weight others are trying to get some. You will see that with time you will get the weight you need. And you you go to Israel army you probably going to get some weight there too because of all the exercise you will do.

oh yeah i know this problem. i love to eat very much. but i'm not fat or getting fat too. i hate this because i'm very thin and i would like to have some more flesh on my bones lol. ok i think for some ladys it would be a dream to getting not fat, but i think to be to thin isn't looking nice. i can eat what i want: candys, meat, fast food...everything and i don't getting fat. i have made a blood test, because the dr. means that it maby cames from the organs. but it isn't. ok my father was realy thin too. he had only 50 kilo (i'm sry i don't know wich measured you guys take in your country) and my brother is thin also. it's a familiar thing i think. man sometimes it stress me realy bad, but you know....this is me, i need to accept this.
