Anyone practice EC with their babies? Or are you curious about helping babies eliminate in an appropriate receptacle rather than in their pants?

EC families believe that babies can communicate with us from birth about what's going on in their world. They can tell us when they're hungry, when they need to be held, when they're lonely, when they're bored, when they're overstimulated, and also when they need to eliminate. Usually, parents just ignore the signals and they eventually fade out, but EC parents try to tune in to baby's signals.
If a baby roots, it's obviously hungry, and if the baby is fed, he begins to trust that when he tells people that he's hungry, he'll get food.
If a baby squirms, or pauses, or grunts, or whatever baby's individual signals are, it needs to eliminate. If baby is assisted with that function, he will begin to trust that process, as well, and the signals will become more reliable.
diaperfreebaby.org has more of the nitty gritty.

I've used this technique. It really works to help a child with potty training, and just all around communication! Its not new! My children are 30, 25, and 20!
