i think currently simon tuffel is the best international umpire in cricket also he has been awarded best cricket umpire from last two years in icc awards

David Shepperd was the best umpire in international cricket.I really miss him by seeing the worst quality of current umpires.he was so accurate in decision making and i really wonder all the time.

Simon Taufel is the best umpire in business.Almost 95% of his decisions are correct.

I dont agree with david shaferred, infact all times best umpire is steve buckner from west indies, I say so because he is the only umpire who rarely make worng decisions, I have on, just a few number of times seen him made wrong decsions (I think 4/5 times since I am seeing the cricket) And for new umpires, Aleem Dar is marvoloous

My alltime favourite umpire is David Shepperd.. And in todays international cricket I support simon taufel..

yup i agreee Shepherd was really gr8 asset to cricket not only as an umpire but also as an interesting personality and gr8 character with his sense of humour and his ations on the field...

well i think sheperd is good umpire...then comes steve bucknor of westindies.... anywayz we cannot rate umpires with a perfomance on single match....they must be right in their desicions almost all time...we cannot blame them for single mistake...if they are making mistakes continously then they should be removed... there are many great umpires including daryl harper, neil malender, billy bowden whoz famous for his actions, venketaragavan, aleem dar etc but the top two are sheperd and bucknor now sheperd retired...so i think bucknor is rating number one now
