Your parlour freak lady is not out to please you por look for public aproval. She is spending her money as she sees fit. It no doubt makes her feel that she is getting the personal attention and the feeling of wellbeing that we can only wish for. On the other hand she may be compensating for being very unhappy, who knopws? But it is her money and her business. Who are you to judge? Is she sending you out to work for the money? Perhaps she is a working girl who needs to be absolutely immaculate in every detail!! Have you thought of that? lol Now if she had barefoot children waiting outside for her, as many men used to have children waiting outside the pub whilst they spent the housekeeping. Well then you could shout.

yup, she have responsibilities and im helping her sister but she never gives her sister a share of parents allowance and guess what she even screams at her sister whos prettier than her and so kinder. thats my point too much and when she runs out of money, she'll demand like a police calling her mom who almost have face trippled for always asking a loan or credit to satisfy a very vanity ugly daughter..

I am certainly not with that kind of trend.. Is Madam Auring acceptable for this discussion?;) LoL I know a girl, a neighbor of ours here. Don't seem to know the difference between a beauty and of "feeling beauty". I don't mean to insult anyone, but she's still the same her after coming out of the salon. We sometimes joke about her and say, "she maybe just did her nails (manicure/pedicure) so we can't see the change in her appearnce!;) But I guess that is just her another way for others not to insult or taunt her. Besides, it her money that she spends and not ours..

madam auring will boil like eggs of violet.."itlog maalat" hehehe... raijin your funny... yup this person i know, who do it almost everyday, is almost worst, even my dermatologist told her to stop being so freak, coz shes going to almost 5 spas and having facials almost everyday and the more her pimples and scars worsen, i dont have a business, but i posted this because im the one who sympathized her sister who just watch her vanity freak sister spend their one month allowance for a selfish addictive spending.. and guess what? she boast around telling us how much she spend for a day and how much the gay appreciated her loyalty... infact the gays are calling her "mama san" or milking cow... see... some people dont get what i mean but i do appreciate these answers, like you raijin because you understood the way the story goes.. thanks a lot.

Others doesn't care because they ignore it. But what if they now the real story, what are they goona do? I'm really sorry for your friend. I think that she's the only one that can end all her miseries, talk to her sister and tell all what she knows what others talk about her sister when she turns her back. We know that it's unfair, but who do you think is playing fair between them? Tell the truth to her sister, it's for their own good!;)

One girl I know she goes out for all that stuff then she shops like crazy on clothing she never wears and its so silly too. The jeans she buy cost $90 and she buys t'shirts that cost her like $25 + (I can't imagine spending that much for just a T'shirt). She has to have expensive. If it's cheap she don't like it, even know to me it looks the same to me. She wants to be a model. She has an outragous credit card bill.

It's grown out of the -me- society. Instead of people concentrating on making themselves better in the inside they focus on the superficial. People will take themselves into debt to make their image better in people's eyes. This is a sad situation.

i totally agree.. whats inside is the most important necessity, if whats in you is full of love and confidence, then outside consentration will just be minimal and an inner glow will be the best and rarest gift of beauty ever found and its not for sale. its for you to discover... have a good day. i gave you plus.

I hate ladies who are like that. I even don't like ladies who are making make-ups as their partners in life. I know a lot of ladies who are like that but luckily for them, there are changes. They are paying for the changes so that's good. What's bad is most of them looks bad. Instead of looking better, they looked worst. Too much of something is not good. And I pity them because it looks like they still have to go through that ugly stage to face the reality.

I'm no salon freak. In fact, i do salon stuffs on my own like manicures and pedicures. As for haircuts, i just go down to it whenever i feel like doing it. Sometimes, i don't understand why people spend so much time having foot spas and other simple stuffs when they can do it in their own homes and save so much!

I think that is a bit harsh & judgemental. If sh eis the one paying for it & not you then I don't see a reason to be upset. If she enjoys going to the spa & such than all the more power to her. I am not one to go to the spa. I do get my hair professinally cut a few times a year.

I'm a self-confessed beauty junkie and I love haggling for clothes and shoes and most especially make up. I don't usually go to the parlor since because I know how to make myself up. If I do, it is very very seldom. I always want to have to go have a massage though and going for spa treatments not because of vanity but of the comfort it brings. And I believe I need some pampering too.

^_^ yeppey! i am.. and proud of it. i wont deny im a kikay or very kikay, but at least not like that girl, coz she spend her allowance for both of them her sister just spending it for her own... then in the end they got nothing to eat and she blames her parents for the limited money.. which is too much and shes just too selfish to share to her younger sister.. anyways, thanks for the add.

I dont do it every day or week, but atleast once a month. I enjoy beautifying myself, it makes me fell alot better, whether or not people think I'm pretty. Its just how a person takes care of themselves.

yup. me as well but not to such extent we rather be peenyless just to spoil ourselves, a reward to feel joy just once in a while is healthy but not always and too much.. its or freedom and our expression.

i can't think of a treatment that has to be repeated every week!!! i mean that's really too much. i have often wondered why do some females spend so much on their salon visits when all they do is sit at home and take no active part in household chores. but i guess....it is all about money. you ought to have money in order to spend it.

yup! its what they want but if they bother people by their burden like this girl im talking about, spending the family's allowance for "her" too much vain almost everyday instead of spending for allowance food fare and school... thats what i mean, a complete attendance and whats inside her is still a monster.. a greedy sister, who just doesnt care for others but herself.. thanks for the response.

I think that a woman needs to pamper herself every now and then , to much though and it loses it effect on people.

absolutely... minimal and very rewarding is in moderation... but if never absent to such extend spend everything?... not anymore.. orientation to self confidence and inner strenght should be exercise more than of the physical,, thanks.. i gave you plus. im happy someone realizes the point of moderation and of exessiveness without control.

Honestly, I rarely go to a salon/spa etc for anything. My friend is a hairstylist, so anything to do with hair is at her house, and as for manicures/pedicures/facials etc, I save the money for at home kits from the salon wholesaler. Cheaper, more relaxing and all that you really need. I do know people that judge me on this, because they have the money to go to spas etc all the time. But I am a single mother of two children. I work with what I have, and in reality, most of the things you have in your house on a routine basis works alot better than the expensive treatments anyways :P

i really agree.. i have all i want at home its infront of my face and much economical and very practical, you can have the best luxury just doing it your own while saving.. its what i really mean, something you can do instead of spending for others to see. except for saunas and massage which i do have when months of work load is stressing me down, but not everyday... thanks, im happy for this response.

It's not all about beautifying yourself. Sometimes it's just nice to be pampered for an hour or so with a massage or a facial or something similar. It feels good and it's nice to take time out from a busy week of working just to relax and have someone do these things for you rather then doing them yourself. I used to get a fortnightly manicure as I hated doing my own nails and wasn't very good at it (unsteady hands when putting the polish on). I don't go anymore as I'm saving my money but I do miss getting it done.

My husband's aunt goes to the beauty salon every Saturday. It's pretty much her only entertainment and looks forward to it all week. I've only had a few manicures my entire life and maybe 2 pedicures. I stretch the time between cuts as long as I can. I've never been a big fan of salons and any spa treatment is a rare treat.

I like to look after myself every so often, but I wouldn't wanna get so obsessed/ or overly obsessed about the outside appearance. I think that no matter how many pamperous beauty clinics someone has visited or how many items of fashion or makeup they've got on, it doesn't matter what they look on the outside because what you really need is to find their inner qualities and personality, not the materialistic, superficial stuff. ;) Personally, I'm not really into the manicures, spas and massage kind of things because I don't have that much time for it. I think those kind of things should just be the occasional event, like a wedding or something special like that. Not every DAY! o_o I don't think I've ever heard of anyone that does the parlour stuff everyday. Besides, I wonder how they make their money back after all that expensive spending and stuff.. unless they're retired and have nothing better to do or something, though. I do go to the salon some time in a while, and everytime i get my haircut, it's always a bit shorter

yeah i know a lot of people spending to much money for their skin, hair, body and etc just to stay young. It is good to look and feel clean but if its too much its unreasonable maybe they should give it to charity or put the money in a more productive way i do go to spa but i am not putting a big budget or over budget for it

I am not against vanity. Its something that you do for yourself.. to free you from stress and other things that occupies most of your time. Its okay to be vain, for as long as you don't overspend it. Anyway, pampering oneself is not a crime.. As long as you feel good about what you do, and you like the result of your vanity, then good for you.
