Who likes hockey and what is your favorite team and why?

I used to love the Flyers, but since I moved to Texas I've been a Stars fan. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around Lindros in a green jersey though -- I still wear his old Flyers jersey from time to time!

I like the Columbus Blue Jackets. I live in Columbus, so they're right here and i've been to a few games. They're also the underdog a lot, so its really exciting when they win... =P

I don't know if I would ever like Hockey..but I do love sports most every type of game! I guess if I took time to watch it ..I would like hockey too; but I did here it gets quite rowdy and violent!!

Well I think my name gives me up.. so I'll confess! lol I'm a hockey addict. While I don't really have a favorite team per say, if I HAD to choose a team it would be the Pittsburgh Penguins. I have issues with taking one team because I have friends and people I've followed on various teams. So I tend to cheer for the team that I like during that game. You can pretty much count on me NOT cheering for Dallas, in any sport let alone hockey! lol But I have to admit, there was a time when my exboyfriend was picked up by Dallas and while it killed me to do so, I said I'd cheer for him there! lol Fave player, currently playing is Marty Brodeur. Formerly playing is Gretzky. Gretz is simply because I've not only met him but visit with his father once a year for a women's tournament he holds in his ice rink. I've really grown to know the family in some ways, although I'm not a great friend or anything, and my respect for him has grown immensely from that.

I have been a die-hard Buffalo Sabres fan since the 1970's. We've had our share of ups and downs, for sure, but we had a great season last year and we are on fire this year!! It's really a lot of fun downtown on game nights, for sure! My all-time favorite was Gilbert Perrault, #11 (his jersey is in the rafters at the arena, of course). He was magical to watch- he could skate and handle the puck. Max Afinegenov of our current team is a lot like him- he's just so talented and entertaining to watch. The Stanley cup is coming to Buffalo this year, FOR SURE!!

I started watching the Red Wings in '95, and loved them ever since. I consider myself lucky to have been able to watch Steve Yzerman lead the team all those years.

I have watched hockey, Ken..but I feel they get really violent sometimes..I have seen some players carried off in stretchers...I like the strategy involved but not the punching and hitting that has sent many players to an early retirement.. I understand from some of my male friends that fighting is like "second nature" to the sport. Is this correct???+

I don't watch hockey on tv either, but I think they're pretty cool when they play. It makes me jealous that I don't know how to skate on ice like them.

I like the Detroit Redwings. Don't know why... just always have. I think becuase they are usually so intense. My favorite player of all time is Sergei Fedorov. He is good and good looking :)

I got into hockey while living in Chicago in the 1970s, back when they were one of the league's best teams and had Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Tony Esposito. These days I still follow the Hawks but mainly follow the NY Rangers and NJ Devils.

Hi i am indian and hockey is our national game..but most of the Indians myself also are cricket crazy..India ised to be the World No.1 in hockey but now it has lost its position..but i am sure India will regain its position and again bring an olympic gold back home..My favourite player in hockey was Dhanraj Pillai whe he was playing...he was just a king to don the game..

Well I didn't become a hockey fan til this season, I lived in the South. But I am now a Flyers fan.Went to my first game in March and they Won! so it was great. Became Flyers fan because of my boyfriend, he's been a Flyers fan for years
