How do i start my own business, legally?

hey i was wondering how i could start my own business of computer repair. do i have to get a business license for something small like that? im just trying to figure what i have to do in order to make this work out right and not do something illegal! thanks in advanced for your replies!!!

Talk to an accountant. We got our business license with the help of our accountant. Our business is set up as a Limited Liability Corportation. You will need to decide, with the help of the accountant how to set yours up based on your business. Most likely you will be an LLC and you will be considered an independent contractor for your own business. I hope this helps a bit. Good Luck!
