Career change...starting over

I am looking for people who have made complete career changes. Was your transition successful? What was your education level at the time you switched careers? Was your education even remotely related to your new job?

I am a graduate of Office Administration, but due to scarcity of job that is associated with this course, I decided to apply as a call center agent. Been with this industry for 5 years now. It has nothing to do with the educational background, as long as you put your heart and focus on it.

my boyfriend was a forklift operator for 18 years at a warehouse and he hurt his back so he took leave. he has been in car sales for 1 year now. his education level was some college with no degree. his education level had nothing to do with either job requirement.
