I joined etsy awhile ago. I have had only one sale. I make wire wrapped jewelry. I think other types of crafts do better there.

I love etsy! The thing about etsy is that you have to make yourself known, you can't just expect people to find your store! I've had great success on etsy thus far. It is way better than ebay for hand crafted goods, because people understand that they are paying for high quality, handcrafted goods made by people who care! I'm favoriting you, somnolence! for all who etsy - be sure to check out all the threads in the Forum section, especially in the Promotions & Critiques area. This particular thread has been responsible for many of my sales recently - check it out, it changes daily and there are some guidlines, but it's full of great people with great stores. http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5140928 hope you can stop by...

I also have a store on etsy - www.bibelots.etsy.com I started with bead and wire jewelry, but have been adding additional items - knitted cloths and polymer clay beads - recently. I have been knitting and working with polymer clay for some time so it's nice to be able to sell those as well.

My shop is http://betani.etsy.com I've got an eclectic mix of goods in my shop. I focus on cell phone holders like the one in my avatar, but I also make cell phone charms, wraparound wallets, wrist rests, bath mitts, and more. Etsy has been a dream come true for me. Sales are slow because of the warm weather right now, but it is a great community, and I've made lots of friends there.

I amke hand-made jewelry. From wire-wrapped earrings and necklaces to beaded pieces/beach glass items. I alos enjoy using polymer clay to make pendants. I also use poly clay for holiday decorations, I make magnets with prints of my drawings and I make knitted items, like scarves and scarf and hat sets. I'll be adding prints from my photography hobby at some point. My sales have been okay, I promote often and I think it pays off, as I find that most time, one of the items I happen to be promoting gets sold. So far, Etsy is working for me and I can say I'm showing a small profit after 2 months and my 3rd month looks to be the best one yet and I hope to continue building on the current momentum. I like the site, promote it as often as possible and hope it continues to grow.

Wonderful stuff! I have been wanting my own etsy shop myself for a long time but don't have a credit card to start one. I especially love your black, white and grey coathook. At first glance, I thought it was a paper towel holder, and had thought how chick that would be in a mod-type kitchen. Maybe an idea for your next project :) great store.

I sell crocheted, cross-stitched, and sewn items, and some paper goods (mostly collaged). I started selling in late November / early December of last year, and I've had at least a few sales every month, so I'm very pleased with Etsy! My site is: http://scarywhitegirl.etsy.com.
