Do you read the newspaper? How often?

People these days are so busy with work and other stuff. I wonder if we have still time to read our daily newspaper. Reading a newspaper doesn't only make you updated with the current events but it also increases your spelling ability and vocabulary.

I think that since the advent of the internet, really, people are reading newspapers less and less. Plus, you can get all of the news you want online. I really have never been much of a newpaper reader or a tv news watcher myself, in any case, but I am learning about more news stories than ever now that I am posting here at Mylot, since a lot of users like to share such stories. This has also gotten me to look up some 'fun' news sites online like Dave's Daily. I enjoy those kinds of news stories the most.. animal news, wacky news, etc.

I read the paper quite a bit. I try to read it every day.
But I view it online. there are only certain parts of the paper I like so viewing it online works for me.
and I dont have to worry about paper cuts or having to throw the paper away when I am done! lol

I never find time to read the newspaper, usually if I want to catch the news I'll just turn the radio on and that way I can still get everything done that I need to do and still find out what is going on in the world. Although most times I will admit, I usually have to hear the news from my friends and then I always wonder why I'm the last to find anything out, lol

I read 2 a day- an intellectual 1 and then 1 which features scandals & showbiz. I like to stay up-to-date and believe it improves my college work & genral intelligence & vocabularly. I also buy it for the tv guide & puzzles! Its my way of relaxing at the end of the day.

Yes!, you are absolutely right my friend. It IS difficult these days, to concentrate on written matter when the world is animated into a movie! News comes handy in all modern gadgets, other than our NEWS Papers. But, i still consider not to just waste away the News paper. Instead, one can pursue reading it when they suffer power cuts/minor problems in other types of media.
But, reading a newspaper will definately enhance one`s vocabulary. So, let`s go ahead and win the race! :-)
