When I start a new discussion, my "total post" figure doesn't go up?

When I start a new discussion, my total post figure doesn't increase like it does when I reply to someone elses discussion. Why is that, does anyone know? Do new discussions count toward your earnings figure, or just responses to other discussions? This is still a little confusing to a newbie like myself.

You're right- when you start a new discussion or add a comment for someone in your own discussion your "total post" credits will not go up. MyLot has a complicated way of figuring earnings (which has never been revealed to us, by the way) and you will get paid once people start answering your discussion. So it's in your best interest to keep an eye on the discussion and add comments as appropriate to keep it going. The more answers you get, the more you will get paid. Good Luck!

Hey, thanks to you both for that - and yes, my total did go up with your replies! Now I know. I posted a discussion in the dogs section on Saturday which attracted over 60 responses straight away, but I thought the rules said you shouldn't respond to replies in your own discussion. Oh dear, I think I missed out there. At least I know now, for future discussions.

I new post could only gain points if someone has respond or made a comment to it. If ever your post didn't gain a response or comment it will not gain any points, but don't worry sooner or later someone will respond to it condsidering the recent population in this community.

actually your new discussion will not count on ur posting figure but it will increase your earning. By posting only total post figure increases. and by posting n uploading photos regarding that topic will increase your earnings. Starting new discussion will also increase it.

Your new discussions will count, but they don't count until someone answers your discussion. I wondered that awhile after I asked my first few questions, but that is what I figured out. I might be wrong, but from personal experience, this is what I have figured out. Good luck and hopefully you get tons of more points!
