Girls / women : what is in your purse / handbag right now?

I'm always curious what other women carry around in their purse. Some people have really small purses and some have huge purses. I always wonder what is in there. Here is the list of all the things that can be found in my purse right now.
Wallet, pack of Dentyne ice gum, small package of kleenex, small bottle of tylenol, little foldable hair brush, eye glasses (for driving at night), bottle of hand sanitizer, 2 pens and a pencil, chapstick, Bed Bath and Beyond coupon, 3 moist wipes in packages, 1 maxi pad (never know when might need an emergency one), keys, 2 lipsticks, 4 lipglosses (don't ask why I have so many, I have no idea), 2 pieces of paper with friends' phone numbers on them, cell phone, mirror.
Ok, I think that is it. I have a pretty big purse.
what about you? what type of purse do you have and what do you keep in it?

cool. What kind of granola bar? That's a good idea. I should carry some food in my purse as well.

I have to laugh at this discussion because I think what people carry in their purse is so funny. My mom always has to have a huge purse for her millions of things. Me, most of the time I don't even carry a purse. When I do it includes only the necessities:
wallet
cell phone
keys
checkbook
That about sums it up!

Right now I am using my smaller purse I got for Christmas from Bath & Body Works.
So I just have the house key, my checkbook, my wallet, lip gloss, a couple napkins, calculator, & a pen.

i always have wallet, pack of tissues, towel hankies and sanitary pad. ialso used to carry body lotion and hand wash with me...i think these are very necessary.

I have my cellphone,wallet, perfume, tissue, pressed powder and lipstick . Ooops i almost forgot like also to bring junk foods and candies.

mine has wallet, towelette (small towel used as handkerchief), pen, antacids, (i'm hyperacidic), cellphones, compact powder, lipgloss, comb, cologne or perfume

I carry a small purse because I don't like to walk around with a huge bag and look like "bag lady". My purse contains: reciepts, coupons, money, check book, credit cards, cell phone, pen, keys, a film cartridge that needs to be developed, lip gloss, very small container containing pain medicine for myself and children, and my asthma inhaler...that's all.

may be all the above things but one of the most one is the cds they are necessarey while they do wrong things i think u understand the meaning of cds

Wow nice wondering :) i didn't bring anything in my purse since i don't have one...i use wallet..to carry a lots of thing like you i think i better get some bags :) i just put money and my credit card only...

I don't even bother with a hangbad anymore. Since I have a 16 mth old I just use one bag for all our stuff so I have quite a list:
diapers, changing pad, wipes, change of clothes for baby, bibs, usually some kind of snacks and a sippy cup, my daytimer/wallet, washcloth, 1 lipstick, hand sanitizer, bottle of tempra, maxipads, 3 boxes of raisons (snack size), a ziploc bag of cheerios

Hmmm i have a wallet, my cellphone, pressed powder, lipstick , 2 lip gloss, hankerchief, 1 hairbrush, a lil notebook and a pen, my digital cam which i carry around all the time, and a small perfume. I have an average looking bag btw. hehehe

As per my understanding and observations these all are depands on the nature of the women. superficial womens are mostly shown with small purse. most of the large portfolio manage women are taken with small one.
Whenever i check it, first time i found a packet of MARLBORO LIGHT and then after i become more excited to see all the purse. most of them have small gifts and small cards because they need any time to give current boyfriend.
one time i found 2 pieces of Condums also, and that was my last check of women's purse. and then onwords i never check it.

Why do you need all that? Your the reason why people say "You never know what you could find in a woman's purse". Can't you retain your enthusiasm from carrying around so much things? How big is your Louis Vuitton bag?:P You can go shop-lifting with that purse:)))

I wish I had a Louis Vuitton. But, you never know when you might need some of that. It is all there for a reason. There was probably a time when I said I need to have "this" with me and put it in there. It just stays in there. That's why there is so much stuff.

I have many purses...to many my boyfriend would say...and I tend to change purses too. Sometimes it small..sometimes bigger..however I always carry the basics. Now I have a small wallet..with my cards in it..and change and money. I always carry a notebook and pen. I carry my address book. I usually carry some lipstick and some tic-tacs or gum...those are my basics...

I am always changing my purses too. I love purses and am always buying new ones. My husband thinks it is ridiculous. I get tired of one purse and like a change. Sometimes I will go back to it a few months later.

great question! I just grabbed my bag and digging inside. lol. inside is my wallet, cell phone, address book, notepad and pen, change purse, shoprite receipt, an envelope from netwinner.com with a 25 dollar target giftcard inside. dentyne ice gum, cigs, a wegmans coupon book, a tide to go pen, and a burts bees lip balm.

I love this topic. It's an interesting little insight to who you are, kind of. I'm 20 years old and I just started carrying a purse when I got married. I need to carry the emergency stuff my husband always needs but never knows to bring. Living in a foreign country and barely knowing the language makes for having carrying a lot of books in your purse too. I finally downsized and now carry a small, small one. Thankfully it only has the essentials, ID, cell, coin purse, a pen, tampon, and 2 finger puppets. The finger puppets keep me entertained and any kids I happen to meet.

I have my wallet, cell phone,diaper, diaper wipes, sleeper, bottle of premade formula you dont add water to and an empty bottle.(lol can you tell i just had a baby?) oh and a teether ring. bottle of hand sanatizer and chopsticks? whoa when did those get in there? and suprisingly enough my handbag is not that big I would say small compared to the purses ive seen on the arms of the olsen twins or nichole richie
