Out of your income, keep 25% as savings and never touch it. The balance 75%, you prepare a list of items which you want to buy - absolute essentials. Do not buy the stuff like Oh that neighbour of mine has purchased, I too should have - this attitude should be given up. Try to avoid expenses now and once the money is pooled you can buy something which lasts for ever and remains with you for long long years - like a car, house etc. Also think of investing the saved money in some investment where it brings moneyextra .
