I don't know if this will count, but it happened when i was still a kid. I wasn't working but playing, and I decided to run and jump over the row of blocks around our driveway...My foot caught on the blocks and i fell, scrapped my knees, elbows, hands and lip! I looked like a mess, and I gotta tell ya, I cried like a baby too! The other time I hurt myself the most was actually at work; i worked as a deli clerk back then, and was about to pick up this big piece of cooked ham to slice it for a customer, but I almost dropped it and caught it with my left hand but it ended up pulling all the muscles in my back and left shoulder. I was off of work for almost a year, and had to do physiotherapy. Still to this day, my shoulder hurts, and I guess it'll never go away entirely.

HaHa!I had been reading that thread and decided to stay away, but I'll go ahead and contribute! This happened back in high school (which only added to the embarrassement). One morning I got out of bed to discover my middle finger swollen, black and blue. Upon going to the physician, he just kept asking me about possible ways that I had injured it. I kept telling the dumba$$ that I had done nothing but gone to bed the night before! Long story short, it was decided that I must have rolled on my finger in some strange way during my sleep. I walked around for 4 weeks with a large white finger-splint. Yes, a large white and metallic bird! That was lovely. Just lovely.

My answer before, and this time too, was that while travelling cross country with my truck driver husband, I bent over, just a little, to look at the rear axle we needed to slide. My back became so painful that for about ten days of our trip I could mostly just lay in the bunk. I think it was specifically because I had been doing nothing in the first place, just sitting. It made my core muscles weak.

It would be sweeping, vacuming or something like that because I have a very sensitive back and certain things cause knots in the muscles. It sometimes the simplest thing can really cause discomfort.
