I wonder why people do not want to make use of the search function before starting a new discussion a same topic. Often, we see same topic, same question.
I'd understand the newbies are just starting, so i don't blame them (i admit i've done that before, but i've learnt my lesson).

sometimes the alert box is over the search and it wont clear. If you try to delete it you cant. There is a reason why many people cant use search. Then if you go to alerts and cant delete them , you are stuck with this alert box over your search. Now what?

Thanks for your post, I guess I didn't even realize their was a search engine until I saw your post. I posted yesterday and then below I saw that someone else had posted something similar & felt so bad that I did that. I've learned my lesson too now :) Thanks for the info!

When i first started using myLot, i never notice the search function that they've palce at the top of the page. Later that i discover this facility. Then when myLot has changed to it's 'new look', it became more obvious to me of the search function that myLot has provided to us. And yes, now only that i started using this function. I must admit sometimes i was just too eager to post my Discussion that i forgot to search first for the same keywords and topics before i created a new one.

There's so many people here on mylot, and it's very hard to keep up with all the discussions that are going on. Besides some people may have about the same question, but a different way of explaining the problem.

I know this discussion was over three years ago, but I ended up here when I was asking the same question myself of whether these people did search for the discussion topic before they initiating a fresh one. So, I just hope this discussion won't be ignored, be active again and more users will participate.
