I make jewlery at home and i would like to start selling and making money off it.. but i am having a hard time doing this. I get a few orders here and there but nothing major. I have had people show them at work and everyone says they are nice but do not buy.. some even make comment like "i can make that". What do you think is the best to make money from selling my jewlery, how should i get people to buy.. any suggestions?

Have you thought about hiring a craft stall somewhere? That was you know the people coming are interested in what you are selling. Or perhaps you should build yourself a website? I suggest geocities and you can go to co.nr to get a shorter URL. That way people can buy directly from your website or you can do custom orders. Or perhaps you could try etsy.com? A lot of people sell their jewellery there. Just a few suggestions. Good luck with it!

If you have a digital camera you could upload photographs of your handmade jewelry and post them on to eBay.com with your rates. you can try this out see if it works and do let me know. till then all the best.

set up ebay sales with lots of pictures and then send brochure with every order to get repeat orders you dont need to big a prescence I would list several items you want to use as eye catchers. I would also consider a free webpage with pictures of your work to attract them to it and link on different sites where you can do it for free.

Have you tried a website? You could always try blogs, sites like GeoCities, Freewebs or such. Maybe try any craft stores in your area. I know most of them have a price you have to pay for each sale but attach your name, website, address on a small decorative piece of paper for each one you sale so they know where to come back too. It is hard to get started in any business like this. My cousin makes candles and she started with on ebay, then moved to an ebay store, then moved to her own website. Once she got the word out she could move away from ebay and she is doing fantastic.

I have found a pretty good way of selling my jewelery. Every year in the city I live in we have an arts and craft show just before Christmas and one in june or july in that five to six month span gives me time to build up the stock. If that isn't offered where you live a large stock of dofferent choices works great at a yard sale. K summer I sold half my stock at a public yard sale and came home with $450.00 that was in five hours. not bad huh!
