American Idol is back. Who's excited? im sort of excited i really have got attached to this show over the last year. Im not that excited about the auditions, i just really love when the actual competion begins. I can't wait to see if im right because every year when they show all the auditions i pick one person i think will it, i stick with that person the whole competion and they always end up winning it. Except for season 4 with carrie uderwood, i hated that season.

personally, I think carrie's season was the best one. I mean, the only REAL talent that has come from american idol has been kelly clarkson and carrie. I picked carrie to win in season 4 and chris to win in season 5, which he should have, considering he's had more success than Taylor. Chris and Kelly pickler are basically the only ones that have done anything decent.

Ok I love the show too- I unlike you love to watch the silly people as well as when it really gets going. I love to laugh- and really its funny to think that these people think they can dance- I give them props though for going on national tv and trying out. I have never picked the winner yet- I like Bo Bice, and loved Chris Daughtry!.. I was a Clay fan too!
Can't wait for tonight to watch it!

I use to watch this show every single week.. I will watch it every so often.. i think the last one i watched all the time was the one with clay akin.. after that i wan't that much into it.. I think the best part of the show is .. the auditions and toward the end when they are the last few..
I am probably going to watch it this year.. let see if i can follow it this time around.

I'm probably not really going to watch much of the auditions, either. I know that they are many people's favorite part of the show, but I honestly find them kind of annoying, with all of the really awful singers that they throw in for comedic effect. A little of that is funny, but they heap it on and on until it's too much, methinks *laugh* Anyway, I'm not really that excited to see Idol this year, but I am definitely going to keep an eye on it, and I may vote depending on whether I like someone in the competition enough. Last year the two guys I really wanted to be in the top 12 didn't make it past the top 32, so I got frustrated and I really didn't watch that much of the rest. i really did like Taylor, though, and am glad tha the won! ^_^

OOOH! I should have checked to see that this conversation had already been started before I started yet another one! I usually do, but haven't been here in awhile and forgot what I was doing!
I am very excited for the new season. As I said on my other post, it's one of the only shows my family will watch together, so it counts as family time. We get a kick out of the show and our kids sometimes dance to the music. It's great!

I know people who only want to see the auditions and not the competition. I like both. I'm like you, I pick one or two and root for them throughout the whole competition. I had a feeling about Taylor Hicks from the first day that he would definately stand out. I liked that he was different and was glad he won. But, he's not my style of music. The same with Carrie Underwood, I knew she would do well, though she, also, didn't sing my type of music.
I am looking forward to this season.

I absolutely agree. I hate this part of the competition. I am kind of excited about a new season, but I loved all the people from last season so much that I think I will end up resenting this seasons contestants...ya know what I mean?

I'm really excited. Last season was the first that I watched, and I got really addicted to the show. I hope I don't miss any, as I have a class until eight o'clock tonight! I always stick with one person, too. They always come in second place, haha.

I am really excited about American Idol starting tonight. But I do enjoy the auditions too. I can't believe some of those people think they can sing. I also pick someone from the very beginning and enjoy seeing if they make it to the finals. Mostly I have been right also. With season 4 I had Bo picked for the winner. Then last year I picked Chris to win the whole thing...wrong again. Though they have done well.

I like American Idol but it has become silly! These people actually think they can sing and they are terrible. I'm really glad Taylor Hicks won!

I actually found last nights show a little annoying, they had like two good singers on and the rest were the weirdos that thought that they could sing. I want to see me of the good ones and a couple of the bad ones, not the other way around.
I am truely amazed that out of over 10,000 people that auditioned only 17 made it through to the next round. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

I've watch American Idol since it started, when Kelly Clarkson won it all. I always try to catch some of the audtions because it always amazes me that some people really think they have talent. Last night was no different, of 10,000 people, out only 17 made it through to Hollywood. I can't wait for them to start the competion, though. That is the part I love.
