I agree with you, some people don't afford intel and then they say amd is the best just because they have one.

Hello there,
It all depends what you are using it for and how much money you spend. Both Intel and AMD have affordable dual core processors now so you wont be dissapointed with either. I will say cooling on intel chips is superior which isnt very surprising because they are a bigger company. If your a pc game enthusiast i would go with a amd chip and if you prefer video editing i would go with intel, either one will cover all your office need inbetween. I myself prefer the versatile AMD cpu's.

A few years ago AMD was the better/faster processor for the price. Now I think that the tables have been turned and they are having some issues and that Intel is now the choice to go for.

Earlier Developed Intel Processors not better than the many of the AMD Processors until the Intel Core 2 Duo Processors came out, they are compatible with Intel 9xx Above Motherboards.

AMD roxxxxxxx.
AMD's performance is much better and it is better in 64 bit technology.
Intel scores only on mother board compatibility because it manufactures its own motherboards.
Also the cost of AMD make it a much more seducive offer ;)

Years ago maybe AMD taking the lead. But after the launch of Core2Duo. right now definetly it's intel era. but some rumour said that AMD currently preparing some new platform to keep up with Core2Duo. Well see the amazing race between both of them.

well this topic has been argued for so many many years, well long time ago we can always say that Intel is the best when it comes to processors but now comes the time where AMD also has put up its reputation coz you can't go wrong with both manufacturers, as of the time of my writing Intel has the fastest processor title which is the Core Duo processor but wait for AMD to release its Core Duo killer....so here's the conclusion if you've got the bucks to pay for your processor and for your electric bill go for Intel but if your broke I'd say go for AMD their more efficient both on price and on power consumption nevertheless their both good :) Good Luck
