my 2 yr old boy is very much closer to his dad. sometimes i wonder why? his dad is always in the office and i'm always with my son taking care of him. but for wgat ever reason, my child always look for his dad. but i'm so glad at an early age my baby is able to show how much he loves us. that is the wonderful thing to experience being a mom ang i feel so satisfied about it....hope u do too...

It depends on what moode they are in usually. My oldest daughter hangs around me a lot. My oldest son stays to himself, but spends time with us both. Our youngest daughter spends time with both. Then my youngest son wants his father at night and me during the day. Being a parent is the greatest no matter what.

Boys will be boys.. That is what I always say when my husband asks me why our son is always so excited to see him. Kids know that their mothers (especially if they are stay-at-home mom) will always around but their dads need to leave everyday for the office, so they get so excited everytime their dad is around. Sometimes though when my husband is so tired, our son gets disappointed if he can't play I'll just try to explain to him that "daddy is tired he needs a hug". Surprisingly, he gives his dad a big hug and kiss. Children are so smart.

My kids are definately closer to me than they are their stepdad or they were their father (or anyone for that matter)...I knwo that with their father it was because he had issues that he refused to acknowledge and deal with and it made him a very cruel man at times...with my husband, they love him dearly but we come from very different worlds so he doesnt relate to them fully(though he tries)....and above anything, I've always been and always will be in my kids lives...we have a very open and honest relationship, I love them unconditionally with all my heart and I've never walked away or distanced myself from them in any way shape or form which is important...I see far too often that as kids get older and start defining their paths in life the parents/caregivers tend to slowly distance themselves which I dont agree with nor do I understand it....My kids can be in their 30s or older and they'll still be my babies ya know...I'll still be their best friend and so on...As my kids grow up the mom in me grows with them if that

I also have a 2year old and a 5 year old and they are both closer to me. Your son may seem closer to his dad but it is because he misses him that he looks. This is nothing to ever worry about though it is actually something to be very grateful for. i am a single mother and my daughters are not blessed with their dad as often. none th eless he is a great father to them and the bond between mother daughters sons and fathers is always a great gift to be cherished!

I say don't worry about your child being more close to his dad.I'll tell you why.I'm now 21.My father is a comercial-ship captain,so more than half a year (for all my life) he is away from home.So i say i had just half-a-dad.When i was younger i thought i loved him more just because he wasn't at home with us.Thats the cause. But now im all grown up,and realise that my mother was always there for me,so i respect her very much. They both did their best for me.Without my fathers money,i would be a loser. So in the end i love them both the same.So don't worry to much about it.Thanks for the time, and good luck to you and your family!

my friend shas a 1 yr old baby boy.he too lvoes his da. and waits to be with his dad. actually my friends spends with him all day long. so she has to keep huimaway from ding naughty things and sometimes scold him as she has to spend time dping house -workso when he does natughty things , she gets a bit irritated . but his dad ,when he comes form office he spends happy time with him, does not scold him, takes him out for walks and all that .so baby tends to like his father than his mom, though ofcourse he cannot do without his mom too.i too have a 4 month baby boy. i too feel he woul enjoy his dad much better than me, as i will be with him the whole day .
