Why dogs?

What reason do you have for loving dogs? Did you have one as a child that influenced your passion for them? What's your favorite part about having a dog?
Personally, I think dogs are gentle, loyal, and friendly. And I LOVE how excited mine is to see me EVERY day. People aren't always like that!

ever since i was a child, we had dogs around the house. so i guess i got used to them. and besides, my dad loves dogs too. so there's no way we can't have dogs in our house. anyway, i too love dogs because they are really cute and cuddly. as for the big breeds, although some could be really huge, they are very gentle and friendly. my dogs love to play, like kids. lastly, they are always there to protect you from danger or from those who want to hurt you.

I have had dogs and cats all my life. Mostly dogs even when I was traveling due to my husband profession we had a dog. I love their nature for giving - unconditional love, loyalty, companionship etc. The only thing I wished was that all pets had longer life spans.

I've had dogs since I was little, and I always played with them. Since I'm an only child, they've been like the brothers I've never had for me. :) I think dogs are kind-hearted, loyal and faithful. They really care for their owners, and are ready to do anything for them. Plus, they're so adorable and cute! XD

Me too, I grew always with an dog in my life. Every dog I have had the pleasure of knowing has been a good, faithful and loving friend. They are like people in little fur coats. I think the most important thing I have ever been taught is from my experiences with dogs and that is "unconditional love" they love you no matter what, I too love how excited my Abby (german short hair) gets when I am gone even for just a little while, I love how when I am sad or lonely she senses it and comes to comfort me and if I am crying she cries and howls too. I am amazed at the intelligence of our furry friends and how when my home, or person, husband or threaten that this sweet beautiful Dog, can turn into a formidable foe, with teeth bared, growling and more then willing to put her life in front of ours to protect what is hers.

I've always loved animals ever since I was little. I don't really think that it was any certain thing that triggered the affections for the 4 legged furry friends. I love dogs just as much as cats, or mice, or skunks, or rabbits...
A dog was my first pet, but i'm actually umm...well I guess I tend to have a closer connection to cats.
Sure dogs will love you no matter what & most of the time they will obey you no matter what also. But there's just something about a cat's love for you that a dog can't ever touch.

I used to have a border collie dog who was the most loyal friend I could ever hope for. Always there when I was down who I could talk to (and not get an answer back) and always there for the good times, she made me laugh with some of her antics and made me cry the day she had to go to live with another family. How I wish I could have kept her, she was a member of the family as important as my children and even more dependent (she never did learn to use the can opener).

When I was a kid, all we had were cats. I really wanted a dog but my mother wouldn't have one. So when I moved out, I got an Old English Sheepdog. What a lovely pooch.
That was a long time ago. Since getting married, I moved to a different country. We have 2 Siberian Huskies now. We both love to hike so huskies were a good choice for us. We can't let them off lead, but they sure can pull you up the hills.
It's great seeing their smiling faces, their eyes light up with joy when they see us.

Why dogs? One simple answer....because they rule. I've had dogs since I was a little kid and I've always been used to them. I love dogs because they don't judge people, they just love unconditionally.
I love acting silly with my current puppy and playing with her toys with her. She's so excitable and it's absolutely hilarious to see her go nuts. When she does, she rolls on to her back and kicks her feet in the air. She's a little powerhouse too, so when you take her for walks it's like she's walking you and not the other way around.
I had a puppy named Sparky and she had a baby named Toby when I was younger. They were probably the reason I'm a dog lover. Even though they both passed away on me, I loved them dearly and it was really hard having to deal with their loss. I had another one a few years back named Lil Bear, she was half pomeranian and half shih-tzu. I miss her a lot still because she was taken away from me. I made a vow after that not to lose another dog that is mine from then on. So far, so good on that!
I think the best things about having a dog is how loyal they are, how she would never betray me and how I always have constant companionship with her. She's an awesome dog and I'd miss her terribly if she wasn't here everyday!

since we are a pet lover in the family it doesn't neccessarily be a dog or anything but we really love having a dog because they are really caring and they really protect you when you are in trouble and they also take care of the house
