work you love or work that is highly paid?

which would you go for? I love what I do But its poorly paid. But when I worked for a good salary I really did not enjoy life very much! Would love to hear your thoughts.

I worked for years in jobs and workplaces that I hated - it is bad for your health and your mind. When I was offered redundancy I took it and vowed not to return to the corporate world. Now I make a lot less but I am well and a lot happier.

Exactly! I went from corporate to working as a freelance designer from home and I too am happier and healthier,,, and somewhat poorer:)

Give me work that I love anyday. To wake up every morning and hate the thought of going to work would get very depressing and I'm sure it would effect other areas of your life also.

I think it is if possible to have a job that you love, spending so much time in a job you don't like is a waste of a lifetime.
