I either tell them off in a polite manner, known here in the south as Sutherning them. Such as "Bless your heart, I know you didn't mean to come across that way, but....and end with ...I'll be praying for you". Something of that nature. OR I just ignore them and move on.

Great rebuttle! I love it thanks. Ironically, the two rude old people who left responses that were rude actually left advice to ignore rude people. Is that not funny or what? They have no clue. Haha.

Even I got rude answers and just like you I posted a discussion which got very nice comments. Most of the good people at myLot told me to ignore. So that's what I do now. Also I got to know that you can report such answers by pressing "!" which is near that answer. And you can rate it - (minus). If we do not report, myLot will not know. So dont get disheartened. Enjoy.

If it bothers you to the point that you can't ignore them, let loose on them. They did not care about your feelings when they posted the rude remark..think about everything that has ever upset you and use it to write back a post that will burst them into tears.(Yes I know, sounds great doesn't it..but I have never done this either, even though I sooo have want to). Really, I would just ignore it the best that I could. Don't let them have the satisfaction of thinking what they say even matters. Also, try to respond to every post but theirs.

I've only had one rude response left to me so far since joining here. It was an attack on my intelligence personally so I just got the last word in but did it in a very mature and professional manner and then ignored any other responses from that person!

Yes I agree, I wouldn't repsond to them in the discussion i sent a private e-mail to the other. I also use the negative rating feature and if it's legitimate then it decreases their points. tahnks for your response!

This is what I do but I had one old guy be so rude I sent him him an e-mail. I wasn't going to allow him to talk down to me but I wasn't going to give him points for being rude.

Personally, I would respond to it and see if they meant it the way it came across. Maybe it was something different than you thought. It is easy to misconstrue meanings online when you can only read and don't have a tone to feed off of.

I am still New to this site, and have yet to face this one. But I feel it is Best to always do unto others as they would do unto you. If you move on from it, hopefully they will learn to be more polite in the future.

I just ignore them. if it is down right rude I would say so, like if the response is disrespectful to me or anyone else here.
