I basically don't cook at the moment. I can only prepare very simple meal. But I see how my mom takes cooking seriously as one of her expression of love. Someone told me for the Chinese, setting aside the best part of the meal also a way to express their love. They find the enjoyment and satisfaction in knowing and watching how much their loved ones enjoy the food.
When I have my own family, I promise myself I would cook for them. But I also think, how much love will I be able to show them when my cooking keeps on failing =)

it took a lot to express this in front of all the members but remember now you have lots of time to practices so get a cook book and follow each and every step just the way is says to and before you even start sit and ask the lord to help you do it wright ask him to send an angle to guide you in all you way and I'm sure things will go smother. and when you do have kids cook with them and they wont care what is taste like because had fun and laughed and you spent quality time with them
god bless you and may the lord Jesus teach you to cook he say ask and you will receive knock and the door will be opened seek and you shall find see every thing is in the past tenths because it happened

that's true
you do have to put love in your cooking, it just tastes better that way, but if you rush it it turns out all bad.
