I use the box just because that is the only way I know how to make it. Would you please share your recipe. I would much prefer homemade, just don't know how to do it. thanks.

The way I do it is simple. I cook the noodles (either elbow or shell) then drain.
I then will cut up some velveeta cheese and pour a little milk and heat up on low. Just cook for a few minutes, then sit for a few. It is yummy.
If you don't like velveeta, campbells makes a cheese in a can that is also good.

I always make it from the box. I can get a box for only 33 cents at our walmart supercenter. I can't really beat that by making it from scratch. Plus if it doesn't look just right - my daughter won't touch it.

My daughter just started eating it and she's 17. We can only do the box kind. I have made homeade but she won't eat it. I prefer homemade over the boxes except for shells in cheese. I just love the box one.

I usually fix it out of the box the new microwavable kind.My husbands grandma makes it homemade though.I dont like macaroni and cheese that well.My son and husband like it though.I dont even know how to make the homemade kind.You might be able to look on the Food Network site and seee if anyone from the tv shows have made it homemade.

My family prefers homemade as well, although we still eat some box. My husbands mac n cheese is the best but he's not home very often to make it.
