I just saw where they say it is possible for a person to consume 4,000 calories during the Superbowl! That's 2 days worth of calories in just a few hours.

skittles46 When I feel I need a midnight snack I try to either grab a piece of fruit, usually an orange. I also try to keep cut up vegetables in the frig, but there's nothing like baby carrots with ranch dressing either.

skittles46 Too bad my daughter has no use for one! She's the one who likes pink in this family. I'm not too big on pink, and we don't celebrate Valentines, so it wouldn't be something I'm interested in for myself, although I'm sure plenty of other people will be.

skittles46 It usually depends on how long I'll have to sleep again if I go back to sleep. I have no trouble getting back to sleep, especially if I've been woken up earlier. I do have trouble getting back up less than an hour or 2 later, so I gauge it on that.

skittles46 I prefer gas for the cooking, rather than electric. However using gas stoves to cook has been linked some to asthma and other respiratory issues, especially in children, so I'd like to get away from using it.

Is it just me or has this been a really bad year for colds. For the past 2 weeks my family has been fighting this cough that just won't go away. I think I need to buy stock in cough medicine!

skittles46 So you have a good idea how bad it can turn. I think we are actually totally well now, although I had to blow my nose all the time for an extra 4 or 5 days after all the rest. Thanks for caring!

skittles46 I have that problem too! My youngest child just turned 3, and isn't quite 30 pounds, so if I had gone by that he'd still be rear facing, which I don't see making him very happy!

skittles46 I've always heard it as being 1 year AND 20 pounds, not 30. I've turned all 3 of mine around at a year, except my youngest who wasn't 20 pounds until around 15 months.
