why are there so many personal problems?

Well, like I said in my other respond to your discussion. People are just trying their best to come up with topics and if that is what they got, that is that. So, relax and don't worry about other people. Worry about you and do what you think is best and maybe everyone else will follow your example.

I suppose a lot of people have problems or have a friend with problems and they would like to get other peoples opinions on them. I personally know a couple of people who just make up the problems so that they can post a topic and get responses. Some of them make interesting reading, and I guess they are not really doing anybody any harm.

My thoughts on this are that a large majority of the dramatic personal problems brought up here are contrived in order to get attention, responses, and earnings. Not to say that some are not legitimate. But let's be realistic; if someone is having some highly personal drama in their life, would they really post it for discussion on an international forum with over 58,000 members? It seems to me that people would prefer to discuss this with people close to them who they know and trust.
