me personally i think that blues clues is more educational for children these days. im not too fond of dora and i rarely let my daughter watch that or diego. While they mean well i find it confusing for my daughter. Shes at the age were shes starting to learn new things and the whole spansih thing is confusing to her. If parents want there children to learn another language tahts great, but for me id like my daughter to get a jist of the english lanuguage and all the other stuff, then when and if she choses then she can get an idea of other languages. She watched dora and they said something baout the road or whatever and it was when she was learnning colors. the road was green but dora asked them to find the (green but in spanish) road and my daughter looked so confused. i like blues clues and i think that it is a better educational show all together.

I think Dora is way more educational. Blue is fun, but I don't think the kids learn a whole lot from him other than perhaps to learn how to draw :). Dora on the other hand, with all her cute little songs, I think she is definitely the one the kids will learn more from.

Yes i am with you and it is also cute to watch just how involved children can get while watching it. When the girls are watching Dora i always here them repeating stuff like backpack, map and all of the spanish! You are absolutely right that she is rather adorable with all of her songs and adventures!!

I think Dora is more educational. I think this because they teach the kids some spanish words. They also have the parts where they have to decide which item to pick like does a jaguar live in the forest or in the city. Stuff like that. I can't stand blues clues though. Not my favorite by far.

there's a very difficult question to answer. .. they both are excellent educational tools. I think that blues clues seems to be more geared for younger kids (2-3 year olds), but the older ones seem to be more interested in dora the explorer. i think whichever catches their attention better, will be the better one to have them watch because they'll learn more if they are more interested in it

I think that you are absolutely right that Blues Clues is probably alot more for the toddler age group and Dora for the older children. Although my 2 year old loves Dora and thats all you here Dora ... Boots Monkey ... LMAO!!! I love my children ... i love children in general they are all so adorable!!!

I let the kids watch both of them. Although I do think Dora is more educational. They learn how to speak spanish, learn how to count, learn colors, and they can learn lots more things too. I think it also helps with their memory skills because Dora tells them where they are going to go and then she repeats it each time they go to a different place--helps them to remember.

I also let my children watch both of these as well as many others such as Franklin, The Magic School Bus and not too mention the good old Bernstien Bears and soo much more! I think that Franklin and the Bernstien Bears are good in teaching love, sharing and respect. You are absolutely right though about Dora she does teach our children soo much!!!

I like both of them but for educational purposes I would have to say that Dora wins hands down. The reason, I believe is that Dora teaches in English and Spanish, living here in California that can be very benificial. It also teaches about following a map, it teaches order, following the map in a certain order to get to the end. I think that it also teaches that taking things that don't belong to you is wrong (Swiper the fox). It also teaches about helping others. It encourages interaction. My three year old watchesboth shows but gets much more involved when Dora is on versus Blues Clues. I think that kids can relate more with Dora the Explorer than Blues Clues. So that's my 2 cents. :)

I think blue's clues is more educational for kids than Dora. But my kid sees only dora a lot.I never force her and have left to her liking.I feel blue's clues is better because it instrigates a lot of logical thinking in the kid.Finding clues and doing the guessing work is really interesting!

Well... to me both are educational but the target is meant for different age groups. Dora is for children around kindergarten to primary school in year one or two. Whereas Blue Clues is for younger children aged from 3 to five.

Ok. You've had me going over this question in my brain for a while now and the only way that I can answer is this.... I find both shows highly educational in different ways. I can't choose one over the other any more than I can choose which is a more important subject in school. I consider academics very important but I also consider the fine arts very important. I'm deadlocked and just can't pick one over the other.
