I don't think that no body wants to adopt. I personally have all them parentless children in my heart but people can only do so much. A lot of pregnancies are accidents and some are planned. I'm sure TONS of people want to adopt but to adopt a child requires SOOOOO much. Yu have to have a nice home and thousands of dollars to adopt. When most don't have that kind of money put back and if they do its for to better their life. I think people who don't have the money or a big enough place to live will adopt later when they can afford it. But giving birth theres so much help theres WIC and other assitance programs for low income families and single parents. So that helps but to adopt a child it just isnt in most peoples budget.

I think most of your responders have already hit the nail on the head because they want their own flesh and blood, besides there are alot of childless couples out there who want to adopt but can't due to restrictions etc. Perhaps thats what governments should start looking into.

what kind of restrictions buddy.. if u r talking abt societal ones then i dont think so that the society is so mean to restict one from adaptin a child..

There are numerous reasons why this happens. For example, in europe parents are ENCOURAGED to have children! Why? because the population is getting older, and to counter that parents have more children. Not only that, most parents would rather grow their own flesh and blood children then some stranger. I know i would.

That's a tough question. I'm adopted, and I have to disagree that adopted children never satisfy your soul. My parents would tell anyone otherwise. But I'm also pregnant right now and so eager to meet this little person who I made with my husband.
Having gone through infertility treatments, we looked at adoption. A lot of people don't realize how time consuming and expensive the process is. Researching it actually made me appreciate my parents more because they went through that to get me! In the end, we decided to try IVF and it worked. I don't know what we would have done otherwise.
It's such a shame that there's so much red tape keeping good parents from adopting children who need good homes!

because i wanted children of my own, and was able to have them by the grace of God. if more mother choose to not only have their own but also to raise their own there wouldnt be as many to be adopted. and if the government would actually let poeple adopt the children in foster care poeple would do so. my husband was adopted so i have nothing against it infact although i have 4 of my own i have tried i adopt but because my husband got a dui when he was a kid we cant get approved althiugh he no longer drinks. we could go to another country and get a child but it is to expensive.

well , the kid which are adopted ... are not yours ... they are not from your blood ..and the child you give birth too is all yours ... you have the rights to educate him/her and to make him live as you want ..same thing with the adopted one , but still , as i said ... adopted ones can never satisfies your soul

Because some women want children of their own. There is nothing in the world more wonderful than giving birth to your own child. Your own flesh and blood. There is no pain that can compare to the wonderful joy of giving birth to your own child. Adoption is wonderful and if I was unable to give birth ot my own child, I would adopt in a heartbeat, but if you can have your own children, do it, you will never regret it
