All My Children spoiler

In a stunning casting move that is sure to draw fire from more than a few fans, All My Children has released Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) from the show. While this is not the first time that McClain and the show have parted ways, it will more than likely be their final split: Dixie will fall victim to the Satin Slayer.
McClain, a two-time Emmy winner, has exited All My Children before -- and her character has been "killed" before. McClain joined the cast of All My Children in October 1988.
I am really upset because just today she told JR that she wasn't going anywhere. I felt relieved. Then I popped into soapcentral and see this! I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. What do you think? Is she really leaving?

I think this is terrible!! I love Cady and missed her while she was gone. She is in the middle of a great storyline so I don't see how they can justify killing her off. Why bring her back at all if they weren't going to keep her very long. I have heard this rumor more than once so I think it is really true. I am going to miss her--she adds so much to the show. JR and Jamie and Tad all really need her.

I just really started watching the show again. I watched it a little a long time ago. It sucks that she's being killed off. I like her.

You're right, I am watching as I write. Someone (the killer) switched the peanut butter in the shopping cart. Now Dixie is clearing her throat and acting as if something is very wrong then passes out on the floor as it ends.

I hope self righteous Dixie does leave. After giving away Tads baby, she is trying to make Tad the father of Crystal's baby with Adam. She slept with Tad once and Adam and she have been going at it like rabbits, what are the chances really it is Tads just cause David said so. Troublemakers all.

I don't know if she is or not, but I didn't really like the way they brought her back to start with. Dixie would never had deserted Jr the way she did, and now after they finally work things out and are growing closer again, her leaving would not make me happy

I hope she is not leaving the show, i really like Cady McClain. she is a very good actress, i would hate to see her leave. she has a very good story line going on there, i too have heard that she is leaving but hope it's not true. i will miss her very much :(

Sorry to say but I haven't seen All My Children forever. So, I can't say for sure. I'll catch up someday.

I know, I was so sad to see her go. I thought maybe she would finally get a meaty story without having to be the goody-two-shoes all the time.
I have really liked her through the years and since I don't read the spoilers, it came as a surprise to me!

I just LOVE soapcentral!! I have been checking it out weekly for a years. Sometimes I like to know what is going to happen before it does. I have been watching AMC for 30 years and I have to admit, I am emotionally attached to the show. When I know if someone is getting killed off, it makes it easier to watch. I know that sounds silly, but i have had some good times watching. And yes, I do have a life.. LOL
