Does anyone here own a Swivel Sweeper?

If you own one, what do you think of it? Does it work well or still prefer the regular vacuum cleaners? I have a Swivel Sweeper and it is okay, especially for tough to reach areas but to me it is not that effective. Is anyone considering getting one of these?

I wonder how they work on regular floors. I got rid of all my carpets so I don't have a vacuum anymore, just a broom and dustpan. I have many animals so I have to sweep constantly. If this works on regular floors then I might consider getting one. About how much does one cost?

Here is the website so that you can check it out. You will also get a couple hand sweepers with it if you were to get the sweeper. It works well on regular floors and can get under hard areas and tight spaces. https://www.swivelsweeper.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1

I think swivel sweeper is ok but I like vacuuming the old fashion way. I guess I'm just not ready for it just yet.

I like the old vaccuums too; today I got a bissell sweeper that you just push back and forth with out any electrical current or batterries;)+

You mentioned it's not that effective..why?+

It doesn't seem like it picks up everything plus you have to keep emptying it and cleaning it often. You can suck up a lot more with a vacuum cleaner, though it is bigger and heavier. Plus you have to charge the battery frequently as well. It gets the hard to reach areas pretty well though.

I tried the swivel sweeper. It's okay for hard corners to reach. But for me, I love the regular vacume to get all the dirt and dust up completely.

My mother has one and she loves it. She lives in a small place and it is ideal for her needs. I have been considering one for our house too. We don't have children, only cats and it will be great for using in between vacuuming.

I checked this discussion because I thought this might be good to have. But after seeing the comments about the battery don't believe I won't one. I have a battery powered vacuum I don't believe I won't another one. The battery doesn't stay up long enough to complete the job.

I actually have not had problems with the battery. I am able to do my entire townhouse on one try before having to recharge the battery so I am okay with that. I think a regular vacuum cleans better but this is nice to have for areas hard to get.

I have one and just love it. The only problem I'm having is keeping it charged. I love that fact if there is a small mess I don't have to lug out the big vacumn.
My daughter likes it to. It was the best thing I ever bought besides the fact the battery runs out quick.

I recently purchased a swivel sweeper, and I really like it. I think sweeping with a broom and dust pan is useless, so this works great on my non-carpeted floors, and it's really handy to just grab it and pick up dirt here and there. I think it works pretty good on carpet too, although I have cats, and after cleaning the carpet one time, I usually have to clean out the brushes on the bottom. I haven't noticed a problem with the battery running out too quickly yet either. I read in the directions that you can't leave it plugged in for more than 24 hours at a time, or it may go bad. I do agree that you have to empty it too frequently, and it seems to gather a lot of dust on itself when cleaning, but other than that, I definitely reccomend it to anyone.
