So which would it be? The money, or the joy you have at work. Personally I would prefer to have a career that I love. Something that I wouldn't mind doing day after day and I enjoy. Sure, lots of money would be nice but having a job I enjoy would be worth the decrease in $$$. So fellow Mylotters, whats it gonna be? High paying job or an enjoyable one?

Yes, I definitely agree with you. This is the most logical answer for the question. Since most people are on or below poverty level, people would go for the high-paying job. In most 3rd world countries, they export man-power to 1st world countries. These worker would endure all hardships just to give their family a better future by working abroad which offers higher salaries than local job do.

I think it depends on your financial status. If your a rich one I think you will choose to work in a job that you really enjoyed even if it's salary is very low. And if you're supporting your brothers/sisters and your the head of the family even if you dont like the job but it's salary is triple than the job you enjoyed you will choose the high paying job.

For some years I would like doing a job which pays me enough money. I am energetic and can do long hours without any stress and strain. Right now I don't have any liability. After some time when I have earned and saved a fat amount and have a family, I would like a job of my choice even if it pays lesser.

For me, I would choose a job that gives more money. I just can't stand knowing that I can have another job that pays less.

Definitely a job I love. I had a job (not that high paying, but pretty good) and I was miserable. It was boring and I had hardly any human interaction. I decided to go back to school and quit my job. For a while I didn't have much money, but I was so much happier. Once I got a new job, it was great. I saw how important it is to have a job you love. Money can't buy you everything- especially happiness.

I would choose a high paying job, but of course it must be a good job. In my situation, i am the breadwinner in our family so i better need money to support them.

Well, that really depends..
Practicality wise, i'd say i'd prefer the hgh-paying job. At least with that, you can earn not just for a simple living. It secures you, and at least you can do whatever you want with the money you get. The drawback though is that you will easily be dissatisfied with your job, especially if it requires a lot of work.
Wisdom wise, i'll be choosing the one that i love because of satisfaction and contentment. But will i really be content if what i earn is not enough to spend for my expenses?
I'd say i'll go to the high earning job first, and if i know that i've had enough earnings from there, i'll go to the job i really want. That is, if it's not too late.

I would go for the job I love, because if you love your job and doing good on it chances are you might earn a lot. Its a very good thing that you have passion for your work and in fact if you really love what you are doing you wouldn't even think that it is work.
