Working mom or at home mom

In the long run, what is more effective. I know that the mom who's at home is likely to spend more time and all but does having a working mom makes you more independent?

charup I would spend lot more time with my son as I will not have to go to office. When he is in school I will do some recreation. Also buy a small bunglow in prime area ......(dreaming too much :) )
