Bring a comfortable robe in case the room isn't warm enough for you. Other than that I just brought the bare necessities such as clothes to go home in for the baby and myself, my personal hygeine items and of course, my husband brought the camera. :) Be careful not to bring anything of great value as you won't always be in your room to watch over it!

Let me think...it's been 4 years...I would bring clothes for you and the baby to go home in. Some newborn diapers for going home. Socks for you...the floor can be cold while walking around...A nightgown that you don't mind getting ruined. Some maxi pads. Your toiletries. The hospital does provide a lot while your their. We also brought VHS/DVD's. The recovery room we stayed in had a vcr/dvd player so we could watch movies/tv. I also brought reading material.

I forgot the most important things!
Bring id, your insurance card and if you're married, your marriage contract, you will need those to fill out the baby's birth certificate.
Also, if you are in the US, bring a cute outfit for your baby, they usually take a picture of your baby and you can order a copy if you want, I think they also give free proofs.

For the baby bring: an couple outfits, and a blankie (if cold out). For you: a going home outfit, comfy robe and slippers (I was so happy I brought mine, a couple pairs undies and socks (my socks got blood on them during delivery, and make-up if you want to put it on (I had to at least put on mascara), oh, and a hair tie. Oh yea, and if your husband will be staying at the hospital I would reccommend bringing some comfy pillows and a nice blanket for him.

you could probably bring everything that you and the baby needs coz i don't think the hospital there give you any supply to use when giving birth, when i give birth i didn't really bring anything coz hospital here in the US provide you with everything you need.

Congratulations! I did ask myself that question before I gave birth last September. You could ask your hospital if you should provide the clothes of your baby once he/she is born or should you provide going home clothes. My hospital just asked for going home clothes. They provided the clothes of my baby while he was still in the nursery. Better bring some newborn diapers and feeding bottle for the baby. Also you'll be needing maternity pads (not sure if this will be needed when it's CS delivery). And like the others said, bring some reading materials and snacks if not for you, for your companion. And if the hospital allows, you can bring your laptop if you like :) my hubby brought it and watched some of our fave movies / anime while waiting for our baby :)

You need to bring toiletries, hair dryer, a coming home outfit for you and for the baby, magazines, book, ipod or something that plays music, pacifiers (if you want that for the baby), socks and some kind of comfy slippers if you want, pjs and anything that makes you feel comfortable.

I have found that ANY questions I have had on pregnancy, ANYTHING is on babycentral.com. That's where I got my list of what to dring to the hospital.
