Are there any ChaCha guides out there?
I came across this site again in another forum but all the invites were give out. I went to the website and did a little general looking around and noticed that, in the underground, there are THOUSANDS of guides in each subject. I'm wondering how likely it is that I would actually make some money if I signed up. If you are a guide, are you actually making money and, if so, how much? I don't want to waste someone's invite and I'm only interested in it if you can actually get business and make something with it.

Hi there,
I am guide for Chacha. Yes, you definitely do make money there, but the money is more like a part time job. For example, most people average around $100 per week. Others make more and other make less, it just depends on how much you want to work. You can work as much as you want and as little as you want. However, if you are inactive for too long then your account will be subject to close. People get picky about invites because if the people the invite do not work, then they are not getting another invite just because the person fails to work; and invites are commission for each guide. Hope this helps, but yes, you do make money, but you won't get rich. However, you will certainly make MUCH more than you would make taking surveys or reading e-mails.

I am a guide for ChaCha as well. I've been there for a little over a week and have already started making money. Its convenient for me, because I have two young children at home. So I can choose when and how long I want to work. Its definitely not a full-time income, but I make enough to buy extra things for myself or my family that don't have to come out of our regular budget.
If you're still interested I do have invites. Send me a message with your email address and I can send you an invite and you can check it out for yourself. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I did go to the ChaCha forum and read a LOT of the stuff in there and got some idea of the problems associated with it, pranksters and such, training/trainee problems but it does seem that people are still making money in spite of the problems so I'm leaning toward trying it out. $100 a week would be great for me. I'm not looking at it as a get rich quick thing, just some extra income to help out with our rather expensive critter habit. :-)

Mapik,
I've ran into a few pranksters myself, and sometimes it's quite amusing. The good thing is that you still get paid whether they are just pranking you or not. If you decide you want to join, I do have some invites left. I posted a discussion about what ChaCha is looking for just in case it wasn't answered in what you read. It's a really neat side job. No phone work, no high stress, and pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
